The stress of the tri-wizard tournament was finally catching up on Lacy, her hair was no longer under control and ended up being a frizzy ponytail almost every single day. She had to give props for Hermione for dealing with it in her everyday life, the girl was literally a witch.

Her hair wasn't the only thing that was a mess, she had been muttering about the 'stupid gold egg' for several weeks now, as her and the golden trio were utmost confused by the golden object that didn't seem to open—no matter what they tried.

Lacy had bruises just to show that she had been attempting to open the egg, that, and Ron has terrible aim sometimes.

"How do you get an egg open?..." Lacy mumbled to herself as she trailed her hand on the books she was passing, Blaise walking behind her silently as she continued to wracked her brain for the answer. "Is the egg supposed to open in a certain place?..."

"Dear Merlin, she's going mad" Hermione chimed as she came onto the isle, her hair being in a similar state to the girls. "Lacy?"

Lacy snapped her head over to Hermione and removed her hand from the books, flashing the girl a smile. "What's up?"

"I was wandering what you're planning to do about shopping for a dress for the dance?" Hermione quizzed, Lacy tilted her head in confusion before she glanced at Blaise, who sighed.

"The announcement that Snape told us, where you fell asleep on Pansy's shoulder...it was about the dance" Blaise explained shortly, and Lacy let out an 'oh' before her head turned back to Hermione.

"I don't know, I'll have to see what my mum says" Lacy shrugged, "I'm sure she'll say it's okay for me to go, when exactly is it?"

"During the Christmas holidays, people are going mad trying to find the perfect date and dress" Hermione laughed slightly, and Lacy was confused again. "I'm surprised that nobody has asked you, most guys have huge crushes on you"

"They haven't, it's just been the gang and I most days, don't think anyone will ask me...I'll just go stag or with friends" Lacy smiles as she comes up with a solution. "Who are you going with?"

Hermione glanced around quickly and then walked to Lacy, whispering a "don't tell anyone, it's Viktor Krum"

Lacy's eyes widened, "Holy sweet mother of Christ, have you even got a dress yet?"

"I'm going with Ginny and Rosie this weekend, would you like to come?" Hermione offered, and Lacy quickly shook her head.

"I'll go with Sylvia and Pansy, they'll skin me alive if I go without them" Lacy laughed, and Hermione joined in shortly before she excused herself, saying that somebody was waiting for her. When she left, Lacy quickly spun around to Blaise. "Can you believe Hermione? Saying guys would ask me out? That's funny!"

As Lacy laughed, Blaise smiled at her. In truth, Draco, Blaise and Theo had been glaring at any guy who attempted to ask out any of their friends, as they knew it was either for their title, popularity or the way the girls looked like. It had actually been a hard task, considering the guys were relentless.

Blaise was just glad that Lacy hadn't noticed, Pansy had already punched Theo when she found out.

"Anyway, I need to find a dress now" Lacy frowned on thought, looking away from Blaise's tall figure as she glanced around at some more books. "I'll put off the egg until after the stupid ball, I'm going to have to learn how to dance"

"I'm sure one of us can teach you" Blaise states with a small smile, glaring at a guy nearby when Lacy wasn't looking, the guy quickly spun around and walked in the other direction. "After all, we all grew up learning these things"

"That would be a great help" Lacy grinned, turning around to Blaise, who watched her features closely, the small dimples showing in her cheeks as her freckles became more obvious. He just shook off the feeling that it gave him. "We should get going, I have dances to learn, and a Sylvia to bribe into going dress shopping"
