The blonde haired girl stared at the empty house with a sad expression, it had all been cleared out alongside the residence who once stayed there too.
Her mother, uncle Zach and Sylvia had all fled to America as they were all targets under the death eaters eyes. Lacy, was left on her own as she had to be there to help the school and to help Harry if needed.
Ruth was against it, but she knew that her daughter was needed not only for her powers, but for her strong courage and her kind nature. Lacy wouldn't ever stand down in this, she would stand up to anything wrong and that may make her seem dangerous, but it would also keep a lot of others safe.
Which lead to the house being cleared out and being put up for sale, alongside Sylvia promising Lacy that she'd clear Ruth and Zach's memory of her and make them forget all about Lacy and the magical world.
Sylvia would be nearby them both, but she'd place herself as a neighbour in their minds. It was safer for them all that way. Lacy had perfected the art of blocking her mind off from anyone else, which she knew she would need, especially because the Death Eaters had infiltrated Hogwarts.
The 'Head Girl' badge that Lacy had received only seemed to be a kick in the leg to her, but she'd most certainly put the position towards helping all the students that any of the wannabe Death Eaters stunts would be effecting.
She couldn't make it to the wedding for Bill and Fleur because of all the port keys and fireplaces being watched by the Ministry, which lead her to simply sending a letter with her owl, where she also said that she wanted Fleur to look after her beloved owl so he'd be safe away from Hogwarts.
It was dark outside and she could feel in her guts that something bad was going to happen, her suspicions were only proved right when a patronus came crashing through the window silently, landing in front of her with it's cute otter form.
'Ministry has been taken over, we're in hiding'
Hermione's voice rung through the room and it was quickly cut off as she had only sent a short and quick message, making Lacy's mood dampen even further as she picked up her trunk. She'd be going to stay with Brooklyn, who had to ship off her muggle parents as well. That way they both had someone to stay with and Neville wouldn't be over every two minutes to make sure his girlfriend was safe.
She waved her wand over her luggage with a low mutter and picked it up when she had shrunk its size, placing it in her pocket before she lifted up her hood and made her way outside the building.
She locked up the door and left the key in the mailbox just like she had informed the new owner of the house, before she zipped up her coat fully and placed her hands in her pockets, trying to blend in to the crowds as she walked around the town.
Lacy knew the walk wouldn't be too long as Brooklyn didn't live too far, which came in handy since it would be less danger for her to be walking around. Her head remained slightly low as she tried to keep any possible suspicions off of her, slightly humming so she seemed as though she was on her way home or something regular and normal.
This year was going to be anything but easy, that was the only thing that Lacy was sure on.
