"Do you two mind taking the west wing of the Clock tower?" Lacy questions as she turned to Pansy and Draco, the older pair of Slytherin prefects, Draco didn't even scowl or anything at her this time, he just seemed exhausted.

"Of course" Pansy reassured the girl, even if they're not supposed to be friends because of what her parents said, Lacy is still her best friend. "We'll take the west wing, no problem" Pansy gestured for Draco to follow her and they set off towards the clock tower.

"I was thinking that you two could take near Gryffindor" Lacy turned to Neville and Brooklyn (who even knows how she was chosen, she always broke the rules, but they needed a new prefect in the Seventh year). "And no snogging"

"He wishes" Brooklyn snorts jokingly, before she takes ahold of Neville's hand. "Come on, love, let's go" she dragged him off toward Gryffindor.

"I'll need you two near Hufflepuff, dungeons and kitchens" Lacy grinned at the Hufflepuff prefects in their seventh year, they immediately nodded and headed off to their jobs. Lacy had already set the lower year prefects off to corridors near classrooms. "And that leaves you two to the Astronomy tower and Ravenclaw" Lacy smiles at the Ravenclaws, who nod like the others before they set off to do their jobs.

"What about us then?" Blaise quizzes with a raised eyebrow, she had fully taken control over everything, he hadn't even needed to say anything.

"Great Hall" Lacy answers, not sure wether or not she should smile at him, it was certainly going to be awkward. "I planned for us to do outside the Great Hall and then look around the stairs, Filch said he'd cover the third floor though"

Blaise nods at her, "sounds good, you've been prepared for this"

"I have" Lacy said simply, before she saw the look on his face and decided to elaborate as they walked together down the abandoned hallway. "I have planned it, it's the only thing that kept me sane after I shipped my family off and had their memories erased" She simply said, trying not to let it bother her.

"I'm sorry, Lace" Blaise called her by her nickname, making her almost cave in and cry into his arms, but instead her eyes softened as she looked up and met his lovely brunette eyes, smiling sadly at him.

"I'm sorry too" She responded sincerely, none of them truly wanted any of this, and there was really no winning side at the end or start of this. Sacrifices were made on both ends and unwanted help was always dragged in, kids included. "We should do near the stairs first, wouldn't want anyone sneaking off and opening anything dangerous again" she said in a joking tone, making Blaise smile at her humour in a time like that.

"You're wearing it" Blaise picked up on the chain that peaked out from the collar of her uniform, her hand instantly fell to where you could slightly make out the bump of the charm under her shirt, and she smiled up at him and nods.

The pair heard a noise as they reached towards the stairs, seeing a Gryffindor student being held by the arm by one of the Carrows on the stairs. The Gryffindor was a second year and they had tears streaming down their eyes as the female Carrie was screaming at the student.

"Lace—" Blaise went to stop her from doing anything, but she had already started walking up the stairs towards the student to help, he let out a sigh and followed behind her.

"Miss. Carrow" Lacy interrupted the yelling, receiving a glare from the woman who straightened her back and peered down at the brave-natured girl. "I'm sorry for not informing you, I had already ran into this second year before, she had just left McGonagall's office and she had forgotten to give her a note for pardon" Lacy was an excellent liar, how else would she get away with the late night adventures. "I've spoken to her and she knows to grab a note next time, if you'd like...we can always go see McGonagall now and get an approval"

"No" The Carrow woman snapped randomly, before she cleared her throat and let go of the kids arms. "No, that won't be necessary, as long as she remembers the note next time" the woman then began to make her way down the stairs. "I'll be heading off to bed now, well done Ms. Williams" she nodded to Blaise as she passed him and Lacy didn't cower down from her stance before the woman was out of sight.

Lacy spun around and crouched in front of the crying girl, "oh dear, it's okay" she handed the girl a tissue to use to wipe her tears as she lifted up the girls sleeve to see her arm, there was a deep bruising from where she had been manhandled. "I'll heal you, Blaise, keep watch" the man just nodded and watched the scene in front of him, the crying girl wiping her tears with the tissue as Lacy's hand began to glow over the dark purple marks, that slowly dissolved into nothing. "See, all good, let's get you to bed"
