Chapter 6

6. The trip

Reya was so excited. She finally got to meet all the people she had just become friends with. She was most excited to see George and Niki. She hadn't seen George in 4 years and Niki, she always got on with Niki it would be nice to finally have some of their conversations in person. Of course she was excited to meet everyone. But she was also very nervous. It shocked her when he dad let her go, she thought she'd be begging him for days.
She woke up early to get any last minute packing done and to get ready. She picked out a diamond checkered vest matched with a black skirt along with her doc martens. She hopped into the shower blasting 'your new boyfriend'. When she got out and dressed, she grabbed her phone to take a pic of the fit. She had a couple messages from Alex so she was sure to answer them afterwards.

Heyyyy mamacita I'm coming to pick you up in 20 minutes.
You better be ready I'm not waiting.
I will leave without you, mwah 💋
Sorry not sorry 😌

I'm nearly ready.

I'll be ready in time .

When she saw that he was on her way, her excitement raised through the roof. She couldn't believe this was actually happening. Realising the time she rushed downstairs with her luggage. Grabbing a quick breakfast, she ate and made sure she had everything.
Her siblings and dad all came to say their goodbyes, it made her a little emotional. She had never been away from them for more than a day. Although she was excited to embark on a new adventure.

"Have you got everything? I don't want any texts saying you've forgotten something?"
"Yes dad I've got everything"
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"
"Okay okay just checking."
She loved her dad but he was a little protective, he laid out a lot of rules, and stated she must be home exactly when she said she would be.
"Alright no funny business with Alex or else I will be having words." Elias teased.
"Oh my god nothing is going to happen!" She said trying to hide her face from blush.

Her phone started to buzz, Alex was outside and waiting for her. "Okay time to go" she said.
"Okay have fun and be good, love you," her dad said.
Elias carried her suitcase out to Alex's car as she said goodbye to her sister. Once she did that, she walked out to Eli giving him a warm hug and saying goodbye.
She greeted Alex with a quick hug and then got into the car.

As they drove off she connected her music blasting her favourite songs to scream to in the car. Half of them being Taylor swift of course. They spent whole trip just vibing and talking and laughing.

"This trip is going to be amazing." Reya spoke with excitement. She could hardly contain herself. "How long until we are there?"

"2 more hours, hermosa. But I swear if you keep asking I will turn this car around" he said with a laugh. Hermosa? What did that mean? Reya thought.
"Hermosa?"
"Huh?"
"You said hermosa, what does that mean?"
"Oh uh that. It doesn't really have a meaning just a Spanish nickname." He rushed out in a panic. He didn't want her to know what it really meant. Over the past month or so since they planned this trip he and Reya got even closer. They were inseparable, they had a unmatchable vibe together. They just went together so well they became the best of friends.

However Alex was gaining feelings for her. He tried to keep them on the down low because he knew she didn't like him. Well at least that's what he thought. But that didn't stop him from using cute nicknames. He just used them in Spanish so she wouldn't find out. Pretty smart. Let's just hope she doesn't try translate it.
