As Akane walked down the street, fiddling with her rings on each of her finger, a guy whistles at her. She rolls her eyes and ignored the man. At 18, she already taught herself to ignore such types of people. They're not worth the attention. She doesn't really get mad anymore. She has barely felt anything at all since at the age of twelve.

Akane had convinced herself that emotions were a sign of weakness, therefore she won't have it. It would be a miracle if she smiled or even looked at a person. If she wasn't crazy smart, she wouldn't have gotten any job. Akane got through her life with the little money her parents gave her before they practically disowned her. She got a lot of scholarships by the time she reached high school and worked her way to college. Her chosen field was medicine and she only had a few years before graduating. But she wanted to pursue law as well.

"What the fuck..." She whispered to herself. Everyone had disappeared. The buildings looked like ruins and everything she was seeing didn't make any sense. It was near noon so the place should be filled with people.

Akane looked around and there wasn't anyone around her. She thought that maybe she was being pranked but this would be way too extreme. A lot of cars were there but they wouldn't start, electricity is gone too and her phone is not working. Akane didn't panic, she was actually calm but still hella confused. Truthfully, she had hoped for a zombie apocalypse because she wanted the thrill.

Akane looked down at her clothes and made an annoyed sound. This is not the outfit she wanted to wear on an event like this. Her eyes searched for a clothing store and found a near one. The expensive clothes were all there at arms length. She picked what she liked and quickly got dressed in the booth. Akane came out wearing high-waisted shorts and a white t-shirt with a white jacket in hand. She also picked some rubber shoes and quickly replaced her heels.

"That's better!" She said to herself, facing a mirror. "Now, for some food or something. Damn, whatever is happening is definitely a blessing in disguise."

Akane got a bag and filled it with food and water, as well as chocolate. The whole day, she looked around for a place to stay. Like hell she'll return to that place of hers. She lived on the top floor of a building and she was definitely not in the mood to walk about eighty-five sets of stairs. At about five, she found a manor just near the end of the city. It looked like a rich businessman's home. It was a little difficult to get in but she made it. The place was good, there's already a lot of supplies there as she expected. She didn't know what was happening but there was little chance of everything going back to the way it was.

That night, Akane decided to walk around the city. The darkness didn't bother her, she felt calm. It was like she was more comfortable in the darkness than in light.

Just near the heart of the city, a screen lit up. Game? What the heck is that supposed to mean?

An arrow appeared and she decided to follow it. The arrow lead her to a tall building. In contrast to the darkness, it was bright as hell. She saw a few people in there and felt a little disappointed. Yeah, she's disappointed because there are still idiots around her after all.

Akane sighed and stepped inside the building, the people looked at her but didn't say anything.

Do they know what's going on? Is the government on some shit?

She wanted to know the answer but didn't really want to ask a bunch of useless people.

"H-hey, I'm confused. W-Where's everyone? Do any of you know what's happening?"
