"Whoa, never could have imagined there were so many of us." Akane mumbled as she looked at the sight in front of her. She didn't know if following
Chishiya was the right thing to do but she couldn't care any less. If something bad comes up, she'll surely think of a way.

Chishiya led Akane inside a room, a lot of people were already there. One in the front welcomed her as the others simply watched. This must be their so called leader, she thought.

"I'm Hatter and welcome to the beach! There are three rules, darling. When on beach property, swimwear is required! Here, you are free to drown yourself in alcohol, shoot up on drugs, have sex and live your life exactly as you desire! Another rule is hand over all cards to the top person! The final one is, death to the traitors." Hatter smiled like a madman. Akane simply nodded at the information. "Chishiya here has told me you cleared a hearts game faster than him. How many games have you played so far?"

"Last night was my first game, it's only a four of hearts though. I'm guessing the numbers are the difficulty level." Akane said as she handed over her first card.

"Hmm, you seem to be skilled at these types of games or you wouldn't have cleared it faster than Chishiya here. Would you mind playing more games even before your visa ends? I'd like to know if you could be made an executive." Hatter smiled, a little more calm now.

"She just got here, she can't be made an executive that fast." Someone muttered. Akane didn't pay any attention to the person.

Of course she contemplated on what to do, showing full potential could endanger her from the enemy's radar. She shrugged off the thought of that.

"I'd actually like to play a game each night until I get exhausted. It's better to know these games and get used to them." Akane replied. She wants to observe these games and find a pattern or so.

Hatter clasped a hand on her shoulder in encouragement. "That's the spirit!"

After that, she was escorted by An. She gave Akane a two-piece swimsuit and showed her to her room. As of now she wasn't given a number yet. Only after five games, she'd be assigned to her number.

She looked in the mirror and clicked her tongue. She didn't like yellow. At that thought, she rummaged through the drawers in search of a better clothing. There were two options, pink or white. She chose white and put it on as well as a pair of shorts.

Akane sighed at the thought of her things at the manor. Oh well, at least this hotel has electricity.

Later that night, she made her way out and wandered around, ending up in the bar. Akane looked younger than her age but it didn't seem like this place cared about that at all. She happily drank the drink the bartender gave her.

Her alcohol tolerance was pretty high but since she hadn't had any food yet, she got drunk with her 10th shot. Her sight was a bit blurry now but she could still sit properly.

Akane felt a presence beside her and saw a guy with black hair with piercings. He looked really attractive and she was in a state that recklessness is an option.

She tilted her head and smirked at him but the guy immediately turned around and left after staring at her for half a minute.

Damn. What was wrong with that guy? What a weirdo.

She rolled her eyes and downed her 11th shot.

"Easy on the shots, you look like you're already drunk."

"Ah! Shuntarou! Come drink with me!"

She felt talkative all of a sudden which happens whenever she drinks without eating.

They took a shot together, that being her 12th shot and Chishiya's 15th. She never really took a good look at him on their first meeting. But looking at him now, he's definitely a guy worth her time. Smart and good looking.

But she didn't like the thought of having an alliance with the guy nor does she want him as an enemy. The guy is smart, maybe even smarter than her. She can't seem to place it but he definitely looks familiar.

As his face neared hers, someone shouted that it's time for the games. This broke their trancelike state and ultimately sobered them up.

"Wanna play a game with me tonight?" He asked. She doubted she could win against him but here's to hoping that they could be a team tonight.

"Yeah, what the heck." She shrugged and they immediately got out to the cars that somehow worked.

They arrived to what seems to be an apartment complex. A lot of people were already in there as well as beach members.

"Hi, are you new here?" Akane asked a guy with blond hair. Her behavior was the opposite of her, alcohol still lingering in her system.

"Yeah, this is only my second game. This is my friend, Arisu and I'm Karube." He introduced her to a guy with messed up black hair. Arisu looked cute and innocent.

"You're really familiar, isn't she that girl who goes to your place almost everyday?" Arisu asked Karube.

"You mean that girl who drinks a shit ton? You're that girl?" Karube turned to Akane now. She thought about her life before this place and remembered that she used to drink at one place but didn't really pay attention to the people there.

"Yeah, I guess I'm that girl." She laughed, it was a genuine laugh. Probably the first one in years. Of course, this is the first time she actually had a conversation like this.

"You look pretty wasted, still hot but wasted." A random guy said.

"Are you sure you're gonna participate in a game in that state? You could die, you know." Arisu said.

"I'm fine! Let's clear this game and have a drink one day, yeah?" She smiled and got to the table to pick up a phone.

"It's now time for the Game. The game you will be participating in this time is Tag."

"And finally the rules will be explained. Everyone in this complex will be running from 'it'. There is only one game clear condition. In this complex there is only one 'unlocked room'. That is the 'safe zone'. The time limit is 30 minutes. If you 'touch' the 'safe zone' within 30 minutes, you will successfully 'clear' the 'game'. There are two 'game over' scenarios. The time limit is reached or 'It' kills all of the participants. In the case that the time limit is reached. This complex will explode, decimating all and leaving no survivors. Thus, 'game over' occurs, no lives will be left. Numerous land mines are buried around the complex. Therefore, do not attempt to leave the premises. Now the 'game' will commence. 'It' will begin moving at 6:05. The time limit is 6:30. One piece of advice: don't bundle together, try to split up. Game start."

Akane was the last one to move along with Chishiya. They both had the same idea of going to the top without discussing it.

"Huh, we kinda think alike." Chishiya said.

Akane scoffed and rolled her eyes. Anyone could think like that, they just have to actually use their brains. But of course, not everyone does.
