Hey! For those who aren't reading the manga, I'll avoid as much spoilers as I can so you can still have the thrill of finding out what happens in the 2nd season, though I don't think Netflix will strictly follow the manga I'll be either skipping or making up the games. I hope you guys don't mind.

"You heard that?" Akane whispered.

It was already morning meaning they had slept through the night in the backseat of the car. Niragi groaned and almost fell of the seat.

"Hey, wake up! I think the games are starting again!"

The game arenas stopped after they cleared the 10♥️ and it's been two days since then. Luckily, they still had a lot of days in their visa so they didn't need to participate but she could feel something wrong.

"Give me a kiss." Niragi mumbled, his eyes still closed.

She rolled her eyes before giving him a quick kiss but Niragi held the back of head, wanting more. They spent the entire morning kissing, ignoring the noise from the city.

"Come on, we really need to get dressed." Akane pulled away, making him sigh but follow her out of the car eventually.

"I'm just going to take a quick swim, okay? You can watch," She gave him a wink before running over to the lake.

"Watch? What good will that do to me?" Niragi yelled after her, frustrated that he wasn't allowed to swim with her.

Akane rolled her eyes at his dramatic sigh before diving in the water. Just as she told him, it was just a quick swim. She was back in less than two minutes. Niragi hastily wrapped her shivering body in a towel when she got close enough.

Half an hour later, they were already driving through Tokyo. As Akane expected, the games were starting again and this time they were playing for the face cards. They stopped and watch as blimps with cards were positioned in different places of Tokyo.

"Drive me there," Niragi looked to where she pointed. It was the Queen ♦️.

Not that he wasn't confident in her but he was really worried. Niragi stared at her for a while. The grin on her face made him want to trust her. He didn't want her to go but what Akane wants, Akane gets.

He started the car and drove to the direction of the Q♦️. Niragi could feel her excitement. But he knew she was a little reckless and probably even more insane than him. It made him think twice about taking her there.

"What are you doing?! The Q♦️ is that way!"

As expected, she got angry when he took a U-turn and sped away from the direction of the face cards. He didn't want to lose her, he didn't want to take the risk. Niragi wanted to have time to talk to her before participating in the games.

He stopped the car and turned to his angry princess. Despite the hammering heart in his chest, he managed to let out a smile because of how she looked. Like a kid who was having tantrums.

"Don't you trust me?" Akane suddenly asked him, all serious.

Niragi was stunned. He did trust her but he didn't want to take the risk of losing her when they could just sit this out and let the others clear the game for them.

"Do you think I'm dumb or something?" Akane felt offended. She could sense his nervousness within a mile.

"No, baby, no. I'm just so scared of losing you, I don't want to take the risk." He explained, putting his forehead on hers. Niragi sighed because he knew he couldn't hold her back.

"I promise I'll clear that game. I'll come back to you, okay?" Akane couldn't help but smile and gave the top of his head a kiss.

Niragi hated how soft he had become but at the same time he didn't. He wanted to care for her like this, he liked the change in him.

"Then, I'll pick you up when I finish my game." Niragi sighed before starting the car again and driving off to the Q♦️ that was right next to K♦️ which was the Supreme Court.

She quickly got off the car after assuring Niragi that she'd be just fine. The car sped off the other way and she realized that he was heading to the K♣️.

In her mind, she wished him luck and hoped that she could see him again. Her thoughts were interrupted by footsteps a few meters from her. She leisurely turned to the side and saw a guy she thought she'd never get to see again. Her stomach did a flip when he turned to her with the same look he always gave her.

"I'd like to see you come out here alive." Chishiya simply said turning back to face the Supreme Court, the K♦️ game arena.

Just before she got inside, Chishiya turned to her. He had high hopes for her but still, if it was the last time he saw her he'd like to look at her as much as he can. Now that he saw her, he suddenly felt nervous. Not for himself but for her. Chishiya smiled to himself, she was going to clear the game without breaking a sweat. He finally snapped out of his thoughts and went inside, wanting to clear the game as fast as he could.

On the other side of Tokyo, Niragi had stopped the car just outside the arena of the K♣️. Some people were already there, the other members of The Beach.

"We're short of one person." Arisu said in realization that they needed to be a group of five.

Niragi made his appearance and suddenly earned a groan of disapproval from Kuina. She still didn't like him.

"What a face you're making! Might even look worse than mine!" Niragi laughed at her.

Kuina wanted to punch him in the face at least once but she held it in and kept calm.

"Right now, all of us players by virtue of having the same enemy, are comrades right?" Niragi took one of the bracelet on the table that they were supposed to wear.

Everyone there looked at him like he was crazy. Well, he was. Kuina was just about to punch him but she was stopped when Arisu and Usagi put on the bracelet themselves.

"The game is secondary to me, I have to keep going forward." Arisu stated, making them all feel nervous.

Eventually, all five of them were wearing bracelets. They were finally ready to enter the game arena.

"What's holding you all back? What a bunch of scaredy-cats..." Niragi mumbled the last part though he still made sure they heard him.

Before they could say anything however, he had already entered the arena. The others had no choice but to follow him.
