"I'm going to check on Aguni and the others," Akane muttered to no one in particular, feeling her throat tighten up.

"I'm coming with you." Kuina and Doudou said simultaneously.

The three of them got in the car. Doudou was the one driving because Akane didn't feel like herself at the moment.

When they arrived, Akane instantly got out even before the car stopped and ran inside the manor, the blood on the pavement not escaping her notice. No one dared to call out for her.

"What the fuck?" She muttered to herself looking at the three that were now in the living room.

Hanabi and the other girl had taken the time earlier to bring the three inside.

"Aguni!" Akane rushed over to Aguni who was the one with more damage.

"It's a good thing you're here. We wanted to try and get the bullets out by ourselves but we were afraid we'd do something wrong and make things worse." The girl beside Aguni said.

"I'll take care of him. Let me just go get my things. Uh? I'm sorry what was your name again?" Akane felt a little silly to ask this now since they've been around each other for quite some time already.

"I'm Heiya Akane," the girl smiled.

Akane was stunned. She didn't expect that they would have similar names.

"Nice name," Akane smiled before going to the medical room to get what she needed.

Aguni groaned as she took out the last bullet out of him. She did all the necessary things like cleaning the wound and bandaging him but it would still be better for him to get help from actual doctors in a hospital. It was a good thing that the shots weren't fatal but the fact that he was heavily injured already didn't help. Aguni needed to get to the hospital.

"Thanks." Aguni grunted as Akane finished up. She just nodded and gave him some pain killers.

Akane walked over to Chishiya who was looking at the ceiling. He was the one with the less damage since he was only shot in the abdomen. He had a higher chance of survival rate.

"I would have taken the bullet out myself but I figured you would do a better job at it than me," Chishiya whispered , groaning in pain right after.

Akane wanted to smack him for being so stupid. He really could have given himself first aid but he chose not to. She searched for the entrance and exit wound from the bullet, praying that the bullet somehow missed his vital organs. It's a serious injury but probably survivable. A very high percentage of people injured by gunshots survive and make good recoveries.

A .45 ACP bullet has good penetration and can create a significant wound cavity. But there are other organs that could be damaged from a low torso injury. The bullet could do major damage if it hit the spine but luckily it didn't.

The primary mortality mechanism would be massive blood loss.

Almost any gunshot can be fatal due to the potential for infection. However, mortality depends on a number of factors.

A single gunshot injury from any conventional handgun bullet will not be fatal unless it is to certain parts of the head, upper neck where the spine meets the brain stem or heart. Only a shot impacting areas of the brain controlling the body's autonomic systems or the point at which the brain stem meets the spine will be "immediately" fatal. A person can sometimes survive for a short period even when hit in the heart.
