Akane slowly backed away, not wanting to take part on this. She was torn between staying loyal to Aguni or to try to save her friends who didn't even trust her and ultimately betrayed her.
All of it was just too much to handle. If she made a wrong move, she'd die. And for what? Just a bunch of people who probably never even considered her as their friend?
She could've stopped them. If they had trusted her and told her about the plan, she could have stopped them from doing it and they wouldn't have created this mess right now.
Her emotions were all over the place. Akane had missed the days when she only cared about herself. It was a selfish thought but it was the truth.
Akane found her self in the bar later that night, drowning herself with alcohol. But before she really got drunk, she left. She remembered Niragi and thought that she should tell him how he was right all along.
As she slowly walked to Niragi's room, she passed by a random room that was open. She stared in horror as Niragi leaned in close to the girl that some of the militants were holding down. Her heartbeat was erratic at that moment.
She was hurt, he seemed to enjoy himself doing all those things to the girl. That was when she realized that the girl was none other than Usagi.
Akane felt her grip on her gun tighten. She held it up and pointed it at them, pulling the trigger.
All eyes were on her after she shot the wall only a few inches from their heads. They were shocked and scared at the look in Akane's eyes. They felt like they were seeing the real Akane. The one who wouldn't bat an eye pulling the trigger.
"Princess...."
The word sounded like thorns to her throat. Niragi looked like he just realized what he just did. He stumbled away from Usagi in utter disbelief. His eyes found their way to her and looked at her cold hard gaze. Niragi had done a terrible mistake.
"Let her go." Akane said firmly.
They didn't hesitate to follow her orders, she was above them after all. To the members of the beach, they knew who was really at the top. It was her, Akane. She had Aguni and Niragi at her hands for different reasons. Everyone soon left after Usagi ran from the room. It was just Niragi, Akane, and her gun.
"Princess, I didn't know what I was doing....I-"
"Save it." She stopped him with a stern voice even though she just choked back a sob.
Akane knew how insane he was, she used to love that about him. But doing something like what she saw made her hate him. He was vile and cruel, that's the truth. She was blind enough to not see that.
"No...I didn't mean to hurt you...you know I wouldn't do that to you...." Niragi tried his best to explain. He didn't feel like himself earlier. It was like he lost all his sense of morality.
"This isn't just about me, Niragi. You were about to force yourself on her!" She couldn't help but let a tear drop down her cheek.
Her grip on her gun tightened because as much as she wanted to pull the trigger, she couldn't. There was something holding her back.
"No! I was just messing with her, I didn't plan for it to go too far!" Niragi tried to grab her but she stopped him with her gun, placing the tip against his forehead.
"Well, you did. You went too far, Niragi. I don't think I can forgive you for that." Her lips quivered as she choked back another sob. Before he could say anything else, she had quickly ran off.
Niragi wanted nothing more than to go after her but he was frozen still. Slowly, he dropped to his knees and screamed in frustration. Hot tears were starting to flow out of his eyes and no matter how much he tried to wipe them away, new ones would just fall. He hated himself. He hated what he did. There was no excuse whatsoever, he admitted that to himself. He didn't know if he could still do something to fix this.
----------
Just when Akane thought it wouldn't get worse, it gets worse.
The scene keeps repeating in her head she badly wants to stop it. She thought about just ending it all with just one bullet to the head but she thought that would be pathetic. She got this far and she'd be an utter idiot if she died for people who shouldn't even mean much to her.
Once again, alcohol was there to take her out of her misery. It was pathetic how Niragi's actions hurt her when they weren't even together.
That made her thoughts wander to Chishiya who seemed to have vanished without leaving a trace. Akane thought that it must be a sign that they were already over. She chuckled to herself. She never thought that she'd end up like this.
The burning in her throat temporarily calmed her down but she knew she need a lot more than that. Akane emptied bottle after bottle, frustrated that she wasn't able to get herself totally drunk.
As she walked along the corridor, she met the eyes of the blond git. His face was blank and completely unaware of her rage towards him.
"You! You fucking asshole! Even if you don't admit it, I know it was you who planned that!" She yelled at him.
Luckily for him, no one else was in sight. It would've been a lot of trouble for him if someone heard her.
He quickly pulled her inside the room beside them. It was unoccupied at the moment, which was a good thing. When he turned to face her, he let out a sigh.
"You have no right to yell at me like that. I wasn't the only one keeping secrets." Chishiya said to her.
This confused Akane, she didn't know if Chishiya had meant her or the other two. By the look on his face, he probably meant her.
"I don't fucking know what you're talking about. Why the fuck are you turning around the situation to me? Fucking hell." Akane slammed her gun against the wall beside her. She didn't know what to do with the anger inside her.
"By the pool, you and Arisu were keeping something from me. Now, tell me if I was wrong in punishing him."
What Chishiya just said made her laugh in shock, she was pissed the fuck off. Akane pushed him hard, making him almost lie down on the bed.
"You fucking dumbass! You thought something was going on between me and Arisu?! What a fucking joke! Seriously, grow the fuck up Chishiya! You almost got him killed and for what?! Just because you thought we were keeping something from you?! Just so you know, we're fucking over! Unbelievable!"
Chishiya was stunned. Akane had left the room a minute ago but he was still there. He had realized how immature that made him look like. But he really did plan on making someone do the dirty work for him. It just happened that Arisu caught his attention in a really bad way.
He groaned and massaged his temple. It was going to be a pain in the ass trying to fix this mess. Chishiya doubts he could still fix it but it was definitely worth a try.
