"Who knew you would turn out to be such a goddamn bitch?" Niragi seethed through his teeth. He couldn't deny how he was hurt to hear the confirmation. If only she lied.

"Well, I like being a bitch. Always have. You know, we could just pretend to not know each other." Akane said cooly despite her hammering heartbeat.

"Easy for you to say, you're quite good at that." Niragi scoffed and slowly turned around and kicked the door. It was a surprise that it didn't break. He grabbed a fistful of his hair and tugged on it in frustration.

Akane just sat there quietly, not knowing what else to say. Was it right for her to apologize? Did she even do anything wrong? Ha! He wasn't innocent either, that's for sure.

"I...I tried to ignore you, didn't I? But you!" Niragi abruptly turned to face her. He was so close to her that she could practically see how angry he really was. "You kept trying to grab my attention! And for what? Just to leave me hanging? What?! Did you realize that I wasn't good enough for you? That Chishiya that fucking bastard is better than me?!"

Akane was stunned. All of this happened because she saw him making out with another girl. It wasn't like it was entirely her fault. Something inside her snapped.

"Trying to play the victim, Niragi?" She scoffed and pushed him back so she could stand. "Did you really think that I didn't see you having fun with other girls barely an hour after what we did?"

Niragi stood there staring at her. He knew what she meant in an instant.

"But I didn't fuck them! That's the problem! You fucked another man!" He yelled at her right at her face but she didn't back down.

"So what if I did? Who are you to get angry at me? You're no one to me, Niragi." She emphasized the last sentence. Akane knew she probably had gone too far but it was true. They weren't friends or anything. They just knew each other a long time ago and that's it.

Niragi backed away from her, the last sentence kept ringing inside his head. That was the last thing he expected her to say. Earlier he thought she'd tell him that what she did was a mistake. He wanted her to tell him that he was the one she really liked.

It was silent for a minute, the two of them just standing there. Eventually, Akane left the room. Niragi was still there and when he realized that he was alone, he laughed to himself.

He was laughing at himself for being so dumb. For breaking down his own walls for someone who didn't even want to come in. After laughing and pitying himself for a good five minutes, he walked out.

Niragi was in the mood for a game tonight, a different game.

--------

People were partying at the bar just like every night. Buzzed and pumped for the next game, Akane downed another shot just in time as someone announced another game venue. She figured it was a way to let off some steam.

Akane got inside a car, not really knowing the people with her. She hoped for the game to be a spade at least even though her body might not take it well.

The people in the car dropped her off in front of a lit tunnel, saying they were gonna search for a different venue. She started walking inside and got to a bus that was full of graffiti. There were already a lot of people there including the a girl and a guy she played with at the last spades game.

"Oh! You guys are alive!" Akane happily said.

"Nice to meet you again! I'm Usagi, by the way." The short haired girl said.

"Akane. We didn't get to talk like this the last time, eh?" They both laugh a little. Arisu however looked grim.

"His friends are gone," Usagi whispered quietly to Akane. She nodded and went up to him before giving him a tight hug.

To say that he was shocked was an understatement. He didn't expect a girl like Akane would do that. She didn't really have the nicest reputation out there.

No words were said as she grabbed her own phone and scanned her like the previous games. She didn't really listen much to the announcement about the game. All she ever got in that was that it was about distance and goal.

"Ah, your leg." Akane said the obvious as she had just noticed it now. One of the three guys she didn't know there had injured their leg. The three were friends after being in the same game on their first night.

While they were arguing, Akane hopped off the bus and circled it. She was looking at the graffiti while waiting for them to make a move. Eventually, the two boys got off and started sprinting as fast as they could. Usagi and Arisu ran after them, yelling for Akane to move.

Instead of running, Akane got inside the bus again and looked at the guy left there. He looked like he was thinking of something.

"Hey, why didn't you go with them?" It was a dumb question seeing how he was injured. Akane shook her head and mumbled a 'my bad'.

"You should go, too. Don't feel bad for me or anything," the guy muttered as he slouched in his seat.

"Now, why would I go if the goal is literally this bus we're in?" Akane chuckled at the dumbfounded guy's face.

"It's not like I'm a 100% sure of it. Just a guess." She shrugged and sat on the front seat, putting her legs on the wheel.

"You're betting your life on a guess?! You're crazy." The guy replied.

"So I've been told."

There was silence after that. They just sat there for what felt like an hour when the guy spoke up again.

"Wait, why didn't you tell the rest of them? You could've told them!"

"Just like what you said earlier, I'm just betting my life on a guess. I can't do the same with theirs." Akane shrugged. She really didn't feel like telling everyone about it. They probably wouldn't even trust her.

A few minutes go by and Akane could see Arisu running with a motorcycle at his side. Akane got off the bus and watched him as he quickly transferred something at the side of the bus.

"Get inside!" Arisu commanded. Akane quickly got inside the bus, followed by Arisu who started up the engine.

He was driving so fast that Akane could feel her soul barely clinging to her body. Her eyes squinted and saw Usagi running towards them, a huge wave of water behind her.

An epic moment was when Arisu hanged on the side to give Usagi a hand as Akane took over the wheel. She thought they wouldn't make it but they did. Arisu pulled Usagi inside and quickly closed the door just a second before they were hit by the water.

Akane felt like she was getting beat up all over as the bus tumbled repeatedly. Soon enough she passed out without knowing.
