To the Stars and Back [Sanders Sides Analogical AU]

First Teacher

Lazy Saturday's were always a treasure.

Getting to sleep in late, not having any work to do, can just sit on the couch for five hours watching TV and no judgement is passed. Well, it was one Saturday morning that Nico decided to melt both of his parent's hearts.

It was around 10:00 in the morning, everyone was up with Virgil and Logan in the kitchen making breakfast, Nico and Loki in the living room with Everglade watching over them (along with a baby monitor, just in case). They were just taking their time making breakfast while their two boys watch some educational cartoons. The show they were watching was "Wild Kratts" and Nico was have the time of his life explaining everything to his little brother.

"See Loki, de worms move by pushing dirt away. Dey make a lot of tunnels underground so they can move. Dey like it better underground 'cause it wet and easy for them to move in. Worms are slimy and like cool, wet places, not dry places," Nico explained as the show went on, always looking back at his little brother while explaining.

"Aba ba bbaaaa, babab," answered Loki, taking out his hand that was previously in his mouth.

Loki was sitting on the ground with Everglade laying behind him like a fluffy couch and bodyguard. He was wearing a grey onesie with a green four leafed clover and the words "Wee Little Hooligan" on it since Loki had proven to be quite the gremlin, even at a young age.

"Yeah! Worms will come out at night to get some foods, but dey won't during de day, 'cause it be too hot and der are preditors," continued to explain Nico.

"Aba! Ababa baba! Da bada!" blabbered Loki, shaking his chubby lil hands around as he listened to his big brother.

"Cool right? I know all about different animals, like bears, ospeys (ospreys), lions, cheetahs, buffilo (buffalo), pronghorns, and others! Did you know buffilo can run faster than horses?!" Nico grinned, crawling over to Loki, picking him up and setting him in his lap so he [Nico] was now leaning against Everglade.

"Everglade our doggo was named after the Everglades where a whole bunch of cool animals live, like gators, otters, and Florida panthers," Nico bounced Loki on his legs, the four month old making funny noises as he did so.

"Well Nico, you seem like a pretty good teacher," Logan said as he entered the room, kneeling next to his two sons.

"Dada! I teach Loki about all the animals!" grinned Nico.

"I heard. You were doing a great job too, but it's time for breakfast now. Class needs a break," said Logan, taking Loki from Nico then letting Nico grab his hand after he stood up.

They made it to the kitchen where Logan helped Nico into his seat, then got Loki into his high chair. Everglade had followed them, mostly because she was hyper focused on watching both children, but now she was interested in what she was going to get from the boys who loved sneaking her some human food (though Nico makes sure she doesn't get anything she shouldn't have). Logan told Virgil  about teacher Nico who found it equally adorable.
