Virgil's Birthday

Next on the birthday list was Virgil's on December 19th, six days away from Christmas. Logan had a special present waiting for his husband. Something he knew Virgil had wanted since he was nine years old.

Which is why he had Patton and Janus over and was preparing the gift, putting a purple bow on it before taking to his bedroom where Virgil was still asleep. Patton was holding Nico while Janus agreed to film Virgil's reaction since it was a very big surprise.

The three adults walked down the hallway, Nico remaining quiet as he felt the need to do so in the atmosphere. Logan smiled as he opened the door to his and Virgil's bedroom, looking in and seeing his husband still asleep in bed. While Logan felt a bit guilty for waking Virgil up he knew this was a very good reason to be woken.

As quietly as he could Logan carried the present over to his side of the bed then set it down gently, it wiggling around then going it over to sniff Virgil's face then give his nose a few licks. Virgil grumbled and moved his hand so it was on the surprise's fuzzy head, blinking his eyes open in confusion.

"Hey there. What're you doin' in here," he mumbled, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. The surprise barked, startling Virgil that he jolted for a split second, then looked down at it as it tried to climb up him, bouncing on his chest.

"What the hell?" Virgil said, petting the present, which if you haven't already figured out was a puppy.

"Happy birthday Virgil," Logan said softly, kneeling down next to the bed.

"Logan? What did you-? Did you just-? How-?" Virgil sputtered as the puppy continued to jump up on his chest.

"Long ago you told me you wanted a dog, more specifically, a rough haired collie. Well, ask and ye shall receive. Happy birthday love," smiled Logan as the puppy wagged it's tail.

"Logan! Thank you!" Virgil cried, throwing his arms around Logan's neck and giving him as kiss.

"You're welcome love," Logan said, ruffling Virgil's hair.

"Hello little one! Yes, I see you there, what're you doing goofus?" cooed Virgil, the puppy barking and yapping excitedly.

"What's it's gender? And it's name?" Virgil asked.

"It's a girl and her name is Everglade. She's a ten week old rough haired collie puppy from the shelter. I had Janus and Patton watch her until today," Logan said, Virgil picking Everglade up and holding her up to his eye level.

"She's so cute! Thank you Lo!" grinned Virgil.

"Dada!" Nico cried from the door way where Patton and Janus had been waiting.

"Hello to you too, Nico. How long have you two been standing there?" Virgil asked, setting Everglade down.

"We where here the entire time. Logan asked me to film your reaction," said Janus with a smirk.

Virgil shot a look over to his husband to which Logan chuckled. However, Virgil could stay made at him for long since he did just get him a puppy for his birthday.

"Nico do you want to meet the puppy? She's going to be your little sister," asked Patton, bringing the baby closer so he could be at the same level as the puppy.

Everglade yapped and came closer, stumbling over Virgil's legs to reach the baby. Once there Everglade gave Nico a sniff before licking his face, the ten month old giggling happily and running his little fingers over the puppy's head.

"I think they're going to be great friends," smiled Patton.

"I sure hope so," said Virgil who was still filled with glee over his new puppy.

I give y'all two updates to hold you over for a bit (probably the next three days to over a week. Idk how long I'm gonna be gone)

(For those who didn't see it, I'm going on vacation and the next three days are going to be travel. I'll update if I can, but idk how much I'm going to be able to so here are two updates for the time being)
