Logan was on his way home from work when he decided to call his husband to see if he needed or wanted anything while Logan was already out. He got out his phone at a red light and pressed Virgil's contact. It rang for a few seconds before his husband picked up.

"Hey Logan," Virgil said from the other line.

"Hello Virgil. I'm returning home, but just wanted to call you. Do you need anything while I'm out?" Logan asked.

"Well, I have been wanting a milkshake all day, but you don't have to," said Virgil, sounding a bit uncomfortable about asking Logan for something. It was to be expected, since when he was little Virgil could never ask for anything, if he did he might've gotten glass or a knife thrown at him.

"No, I'll get you one. What type do you wish for?" Logan said, turning off the main road.

"Uhm, a vanilla from McDonald's. Lo you don't have to if you don't want to," murmured Virgil, probably nibbling nervously on his thumbnail.

"Virgil you are my husband. I would do anything for you. You're also three months pregnant with my child, I think you deserve a little treat," Logan told his lover.

He heard a soft sigh from the other line before Virgil spoke up again, "Okay. Thank you Lo."

"Anything for you love," Logan said then the call was ended.

Logan pulled up to the drive thru and ordered, getting a drink for him and a milkshake for Virgil. He then drove back home to his husband who he found unpacking some of the few boxes they had left after moving into their new house (procrastination is a pain in the ass okay).

"Here you are Virgil," Logan said, handing him his drink.

"Thank you Logan," Virgil smiled, setting the decorative plate he unboxed on the counter to take his drink.

"How was your day at work?" asked Virgil after taking a sip, a small, kitten like smile on his face.

"Long, but productive. We're getting the robots prepped and always getting information from the one on Mars," said Logan while setting his bag down on the counter, "What about you?"

"Well I got those three boxes in the guest room unpacked. Did you know we have twenty five blankets we've never used and seventeen decorative pillows? Because I didn't until I unpacked them all today," Virgil huffed while taking out more decorative plates and stacking them on one another.

"Perhaps we could have a yard sale once this place is unpacked," pondered Logan, "But for now you should take a break."

Logan took Virgil's free hand and pulled him gently away from the box to the living room.

"Loogaaan. I was almost done," pouted Virgil as they walked out and sat down on their new couch.

"It can wait. For now you need to rest," said Logan.

Virgil playfully rolled his eyes, but gave in to Logan's distraction. The two ended up laying down with Logan's back up against the arm and Virgil laying between Logan's legs with his head resting on his husband's chest. Logan had his arms loosely around Virgil's shoulders as the latter continued drinking his milkshake, a content expression on his face as he leaned against Logan. The astronomer moved his right hand down to Virgil's stomach (that had grown a little muffin top in the past month) where he rubbed gentle circles with his thumb.

A few minutes later Logan found out Virgil had fallen asleep on him after trying to get up, but unable to because of his undeniably adorable husband was, as stated before, asleep on his chest. In the end Logan just picked the sleeping man up and carried him to their room, tucking him into bed then changing, placing his glasses on the bedside table and getting under the covers himself. Logan fell asleep with his hand on Virgil's and to the sound of his husband's soft, steady breathing.
