After about an hour of laying on the ground Logan moved them both to the couch where he also got out a pattern book for babies. Logan had read while researching that at five months babies find blues and reds intriguing along with patterns, so he made sure he had a book about patterns close by. Logan sat Nico in his lap and held the book open for him, the baby staring in awe at the patterns and swirls for many minutes, taking in every detail with his crystal blue eyes that had yet to change color.

They would flip through the book slowly Nico wanting to stare at every picture, every pattern on every page for minutes on end. It took nearly two hours for them to complete the book and by then it was time for Nico to take his first nap of the day. Virgil had told Logan that Nico needed to take three naps a day that usually lasted two hours each. Logan took his sleepy baby to their room and placed him in the crib, Nico closing his eyes and was asleep in minutes. With a sigh Logan turned on the baby monitor then got dress, having still been in his pajamas for most of the morning.

Once dressed he made his way to the kitchen where he premashed up some fruits in case Nico wanted to try any at lunch. Then he ate lunch and just sat in the living room watching a documentary, pondering how Virgil managed to stay busy the whole day while he could barely keep himself entertained for a few minutes without his baby.

"Well, Virgil probably works around the house as well. He's the one that keeps everything clean once I reorganize it," he mumbled to himself, only just thinking about how much his husband worked on a daily basis.

"Let's see. He does the laundry, cleans the dishes, vacuums every room once every week, keeps the kitchen nearly spotless, cleans up my office, and finds time to care for Nico everyday and go to Buzzfeed for work. Wow, I've never realized how much Virgil works," Logan said as he listed off all the things his husband does around the house, "Maybe I should give him a hand, figuratively speaking, that is."

After two hours Logan went back to his room to check up on Nico. The baby was awake and smiled when Logan peered down, holding up his hands for Logan to pick him up. Logan did just that, picking Nico up and taking him to the kitchen to eat lunch. Logan soon learned Nico's love for fruit, the baby just devouring the mashed fruit with a smile that never left his face.

After lunch Logan had to change him once again (something his was growing to dread) then took him back to the living room. Logan flopped onto the couch with Nico laying on his chest, head resting near his heart.

"Now that lunch is over and you've been changed what do you want to do?" Logan asked and Nico looked up from his chest.

Nico made incoherent gurgles and grabbed Logan's left index finger. He cooed over it, bringing to close to his face before putting it in his mouth. Logan chuckled and allowed his baby to slobber all over his finger up until he felt something very sharp poke it and continue to do so.

"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Nico my finger isn't a teething toy," Logan said as he pulled his finger out, looking at the drool and indents in his skin from his baby's growing teeth.

"They're growing in nicely, huh Nico? We might have to get you some teething toys so you don't keep chewing on our fingers," Logan looked up to see his son collecting spit bubbles between his lips while smiling and giggling.

"You are a goofy lil baby, aren't you?" Logan grinned, holding Nico up above his head as the smol one squealed with joy, kicking his feet while looking down at his dad.

"Yes you are," answered Logan for his son.

Mmmmmmm
