Wrong Time for This

"Okay Virgil, you'll call if there is any trouble?" Logan asked as Virgil walked down the hallway from their bedroom through the kitchen into the living room.

"Yes Logan, we'll be fine. Janus and Remus will take care of us and the baby isn't due for a week," said Virgil with a playful roll of his eyes as Patton (who had arrived with Janus about half an hour earlier) opened the front door.

"Hey Virgil! Heya Logan! How's the little one doing?" Remus asked as he walked through the door with Roman right behind him.

"Hey Remus, we're doing good! I'm glad I can spend time with you two," smiled Virgil, getting a half hug from them both because his very round belly got in the way.

"Yes, Remus totally hasn't been talking about this since we planned it," said Janus as he walked in from the kitchen with a smile.

"Well we'll be off then," Virgil said, waving to Logan.

"You'll be safe?" said Logan though it sounded more like a question.

"Don't you worry nerdy wolverine, he'll be safe with us and we will call if anything happens," said Remus as he ushered the pregnant man out the door.

Logan watched them leave as he nervously chewed on the inside of his cheek. He then walked over to the couch where Roman and Patton were sitting.

"Don't worry Logan. I'm sure Virgil will be fine," Patton smile.

"I know Patton," Logan signed, sitting down on an arm chair.

With the other three they arrived at Remus' and Roman's house, Janus helping Virgil out of the back despite his objections. They walked to the door, Virgil definitely having what's classified as 'pregnancy strut' but in reality was some form of a wattle. Remus opened the door for them, all walking in and taking a seat on their couch. They had decided to do this little get together without the other three to spend some time together like when they were kids. Just the three of them against the world.

"So how's it been going with the baby?" Remus asked, his leg bouncing and his eyes shining.

"It's going fine. The usually stuff is happening like kicks, mood swings, odd cravings, and a clinging husband," Virgil said with a giggle.

"Speaking of which, how is Logan handling you being this close?" asked Janus.

"Well as stated before he's super clingy. I can barely do anything without his help and several times I had to remind him that I'm still capable of caring for myself. I swear if he could he would attach himself to me," sighed Virgil.

"Well I imagine it's getting harder, what with the beach ball sized belly there," said Remus who got a light slap on the arm from Janus.

"Don't be rude Remus. That beach ball is a baby soon to be born!" he hissed.

"It's fine Janus. I've gotten use to the comments by now and just find them funny," said Virgil, running a hand over his stomach.

"He should still be considerate towards you," the other huffed while lightly glaring at the mustached man.

"Well enough about me. How're you two doing?" Virgil asked.
