Boyfriend Scenarios: You Get Attacked (Solomon)

(Y/N)'s POV

Solomon and I had ended our relationship after I awoke from the spell that hit me. He claimed that he regretted ever giving Valery his attention and that he supposedly forced himself to have feelings for her. He kept on going on about how he was in a state of denial with his feelings for me; he was confused about why he hadn't gotten bored of me yet and decided that forcing himself to fall for Valery was the best bet. I couldn't see myself with someone like that, though, especially after all the harmful things he said to me at the venue.

"(Y/n); why would you agree to be trained by someone as weak as Allen? He doesn't know what he is doing; how the hell is he going to help you? You're weak too! You can't even control your magic long enough to perform a levitation spell, which is one of the easier spells in the book!"

"See, look at you! You won't even defend yourself against what I'm saying to you! This is why you are such a weak witch! AND it's also the reason I don't find you attractive in the slightest anymore! You will NEVER get good enough to reach my level of magic or power, and you could never compare to Valery! She is absolutely perfect, both in magical power and in looks. Of course, she is unaware that I am dating you, but that information doesn't matter since our relationship is over!"

He literally claimed all those things in front of Allen and Valery, and when he saw that he wasn't winning, he tried to attack Valery. If I hadn't pushed her out of the way, she would have died. The only reason I survived was due to Solomon's seal on my body; it broke after the spell's effect wore off, and I no longer had a connection to Solomon. Solomon had begged not only to keep us together but to place his seal on me again. 

After that day, I started my magical training with Allen and Valery. We all grew close and told each other about any little thing that happened in our lives. Allen and I got to know each other, and we both agreed that we were better off as friends. Not only because he was going to be teaching me but because he apparently also hit it off with another wizard that was at the party. This was fine, though, because Simeon and I had been talking more romantically. He was always the first person to wish me a good morning and the last person I spoke to before bed. He genuinely cared about me, and I loved that and other things about him. The thing that surprised me the most was that Luke actually supported our relationship and was often trying to set us up on dates but, every time we would be off on a date, something always went wrong, and we had to cancel it reschedule. But this time, it was different; we checked the weather forecast and ensured that only the people closest to us knew about the date. Hopefully, nothing would go wrong. I told Allen and Vallery first about Simeon having asked me out on a date. I also told the seven brothers once I got home from training. They were both extremely happy for me.

The date went extremely well; Simeon and I had a picnic in a meadow in the Devildom's woods. Luke had taken the duty of cooking our meals quite seriously. He made us tea cakes, finger sandwiches, cookies, and an assortment of different types of teas for us to choose from. We spent the time talking about how Luke was adorable for being our little cook, ideas for all future dates, and he ended the date by asking me to become his official significant other. After that date, we shared our first kiss and shared the news with everyone that same night when we called a meeting between the House of Lamentation and Purgatory Hall. Everyone was excited for us, and Luke especially was looking forward to cooking for our future dates. 

On the other hand, Solomon looked like crap as it was, and he just looked like he lost all hope the very moment we finished the announcement. He looked like he hadn't slept or showered in days and noticed that Asmo looked at him with an "I told you so" look. After receiving the congratulations from everyone, the brothers and I made our way back home from Purgatory Hall. Lucifer was telling me about how Lord Diavolo would be excited to hear the news of Simeon's and my relationship. I eventually ended up in the back of the group with Belphie, and somehow we both got left really behind.

Belphie had become more alert and didn't notice I was with him and ran after the group, leaving me behind. I yelled after him and told him to wait, but he didn't hear me; unfortunately for me, someone else did. I heard quick footsteps approaching me from behind and turned around while reaching for my wand. I wasn't quick enough, and the demon used his claws to scratch me across the abdomen and then threw me against the tree. I let out a scream that alerted the brothers, who were searching for me. I tried to get up, now that I had my wand in my hand, but I was too weak. I was only able to chant the spell and hope that I aim at the demon attacking me. After I released the spell, I passed out because of how much power the spell used and how much blood I lost in the attack. 

Solomon's POV

I walked into the kitchen to get something to eat and overheard Simeon on the phone with someone. He sounded distressed, and I couldn't really understand what he was saying. It wasn't until he hung up that I walked into the kitchen and saw him crying while staring at his phone. He looked up, saw me making myself a snack, stood up, walked up to me, and slapped me across the face. I looked at him in shock while holding my cheek, and before I could say anything, Simeon spoke,

"Are you happy now, Solomon? Why did I just receive a phone call from Lucifer telling me that (y/n) was attacked by one of the demons you have a pact with?" Simeon looked at me with such disgust that it honestly hurt. 

"I-I don't know what you are talking about, Simeon! I only asked him to follow her around to make see what she was up to because I miss her; I didn't ask any one of them to kill her, I swear!" I started crying, thinking of the fact that it was probably the only low-ranking demon I have a pact with; I know he'll do anything to gain power, even kill a human.

"Of course, how convenient for you to stand there and claim to have nothing to do with it! Just admit the fact that you are jealous that (y/n) is doing fine without you! You know what, why do I even bother talking to you? My girlfriend needs me to be by her side right now; I'm going to go get Luke and leave." Simeon left the kitchen and walked towards Luke's room, leaving me alone.

After they left, I called Asmo to see which demon had attacked (y/n), and I was correct. It was the lowest-ranking demon I had a pact with. I felt angry and told Asmo that I had to go; after that, I called Barbatos and let him know that it was okay if that demon was put to death and begged him to tell me how (y/n) was doing. Apparently, (y/n) was in a critical state and was on the verge of death and would have to be changed into a demon to survive, and that the decision would have to fall on the brothers. I dropped my phone and felt the tears start to pour harder than ever. I looked down at the phone and then at my hands. I felt like all of this was my fault, like if I had just stayed with her and only her, none of this would have ever happened. She actually looked happy again dating Simeon, and that idiot demon decided to try and take her life like that! I sank in the middle of the kitchen and felt like my life was crashing all around me.

Timeskip, 3 Months Later

(Y/n)'s POV

Today was my last day of training with Allen and Valery; after I died and was revived as a demon, I learned magic quicker and soon required Barbatos to teach me instead. I was also still training with Beel, Lucifer, Lord Diavolo, and Satan to control and use my demon abilities. Everything is fine in that part of my life. However, Simeon had to go to the Celestial Realm to petition to continue to date even though I am a demon. Today was supposed to be the day he returned with the news on the petition. 

Luke and I spent all afternoon cooking for Simeon, and we were both excited to see him again. We made his favorite cake and dish and put the finishing touches on the cake's decorations when we heard Simeon call out to Luke; we both ran up to him and hugged him tightly. Simeon practically squeezed me and said to both of us,

"The accepted the petition! We are officially allowed to date; it's been approved by father himself!" Simeon leaned down and kissed me for the first time since I woke up in the infirmary at the palace.

"That's so exciting! Luke and I put together a welcome back dinner with dessert! Let's go celebrate together! We are like a little family after all!" All three of us made our way to the dining room and had Simeon take his seat while we brought out the food and served ourselves for our first of many dinners together. I was so happy at this moment, Solomon completely out of my mind; I didn't even remember he existed! Could it be that he wasn't the right one for me to begin with?
