P4N1C_P1LL5 requested this scenario! Thank you so much for the idea! I hope you all enjoy it! 😊
The classes at RAD were all usually easy or require that I ask Satan to clarify a thing or two. But, I am typically able to handle the workload. The class that I have the most trouble with, though, is Devildom History because of how detailed it is compared to history classes in the human world.
This week the Devildom History teacher asked to meet me after class to talk about my grade. I had a C in the course, and Lucifer was constantly hounding me to study harder because that's what the problem is in his eyes. But, I knew it was because I could only retain about half of what I was reading, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't retain it.
After the class was dismissed, I stayed at my seat and waited for the other students to leave before I went up to the teacher.
"(Y/n), please come up here." He smiled politely and gestured for me to come to him.
"Yes, sir!" I walked up to his desk and tried to look as innocent as I could; he looked up at me and gestured for me to sit at the chair next to his desk.
"It seems that you are nearly failing this course. I wanted to see if you would like to do some extra work, and I'll bump your grade up to a B or an A depending on how well you do." He opened one of the compartments on his desk and took out five thick packets of paper and looked at me with a smile.
"If you decide to take on this task, then I want these done in two weeks! No more than that, if you don't complete them all, then you get no credit and fail the course. So, what will it be?" His friendly smile turned into a sadistic one, and he pushed the massive stack of papers in front of me.
"Okay, thank you for giving me this opportunity!" I picked up the packets and made my way back to the House of Lamentation.
Once I got home, I closed the door and sat down at the dinner table. I began sobbing because I knew I was NEVER going to finish this paperwork. I heard footsteps but ignored them, then I felt a hand rest in my shoulder, and I heard his voice, full of concern ask me something.
Lucifer
"(Y/n), are you okay? What is with this stack of paperwork?" I turned to look at Lucifer; I didn't care about how I looked.
"The Devildom History teacher told me I have to finish this huge stack of papers in two weeks or else I'll fail the class. But, I can't finish all this in two weeks, it's too much." I continued to sob, feeling like I had let him down after he told me to bring my grade up.
"(Y/n), what is your current grade in the course?" Lucifer sat down next to and squeezed my bicep, I wiped my nose and looked at him.
"H-he said that I-I have a solid C but that h-he would f-f-fail m-me if I didn't d-do the p-packets. H-he knows th-that I couldn't f-finish it at that time; he wants me to f-fail the class." I stared at the stack of papers and continued to sob; I felt hopeless. Lucifer calmly whispered.
"It's okay, (y/n). Come, let's go to my room, we can start the packets together. You don't have to do this alone, and you don't have to have it done in two weeks. I'll be here every step of the way." He picked up the stack of papers with one hand and held my hand with his free hand. We headed up to his room, and he set down the paperwork on his desk before he turned to face me.
"(Y/n), maybe we can start on that later. Right now, we need to make sure you're alright." Lucifer pulled me towards the couch in his room and sat me down on his lap; he pulled me close to his chest and started running his slender fingers through my (h/c) hair.
