"I'm worried about her guys."

"Why? I thought she was doing really good." I look at Owen sighing.

"A few nights ago, when we did the four course challenge, someone mentioned her weight." Sofia and Heer gasp.

"Well did you say anything?"

"Of course I did, Heer. I told her that she doesn't have to be a size double zero to be beautiful."

"Okay, but did you say something to whoever said mentioned her weight?" I look at Sofia grimacing slightly. "Charlie!"

"I didn't realize I was supposed to say something!"

"If someone says something about your girlfriend, you're always supposed to say something, dude."

"He learned that quickly." Sofia smiles lightly up to him. He pecks her lips making me sigh.

"There's so many unwritten rules when it comes to dating."

"Well yeah. That just comes with dating in general."

"How would you know, Heer? You haven't been in a relationship in over a year." Heer looks at Sofia gasping.

"I may not have dated for a while, but excuse me!" I chuckle shaking my head at them.

Heer rolls her eyes and drags me into the kitchen.

"Are you seriously worried about her?" I nod looking at the sink.

"She used to sleep in just my shirt and now she actually sleeps in clothes. Her clothes."

"So?"

"She told her mom she doesn't want to stretch out my shirts."

"But your shirts are huge on her."

"I know."

"Wait wait. Oh my god. You said mom! She's talking to her mom again?!"

"Yeah. That's another reason why I'm worried."

"Do you want me to try to talk to her?"

"Maybe? Maybe she'd be more willing to talk to you."

"Because we're not fucking. Yeah that makes sense." I start blushing and laugh awkwardly.

"That's not what I meant, but okay." She laughs.

"I know what you meant. I'm just teasing you."

"Anyway. She leaves every day for hours."

"Maybe therapy?"

"No. We've started going together."

"Then where could she be going?"

"She says she's going to the gym."

"And that's bad?"

"When she's gone for three hours and comes back drenched in sweat, I think so."

"Working out isn't bad though."

"No it's not, but working out too much is."

"Why do you think she works out too much?"

"Being gone for three hours and coming home completely drenched doesn't make you think she's working out too much?"

"That's fair. Why don't you just talk to her?"

"I don't want to accidentally hurt her even more."

"You won't. I promise. Just talk to her okay?"

"FUCK!" My heart starts racing hearing Kenedi scream. I run to the bathroom and burst in, not even bothering to knock.

"What the fuck." The sight before me is something I never thought I'd see in my life. She looks up at me with watery eyes and a needle sticking out of her nose.

"What?"

"What the fuck did you do?!"

"I'm piercing my nose." She shrugs like it's not a big deal then continues pushing on the needle.

"Kenedi, stop!" I try to stop her, but she slaps my hand away glaring at me. "You're going to hurt yourself!"

"Well obviously. I'm making a hole in my nose." I close my eyes breathing in deeply trying not to get upset over her sarcasm.

"Why did you scream?"

"I had the ring in, but couldn't get it to go in all the way. I already took the needle out so now I'm having to pierce it again." I bite my lip trying not to laugh. I feel bad for finding this so comical.

"And why are you doing this?"

"I've wanted to for a while. I was gonna wait until corona was done so I could get it professionally done, but I got tired of waiting."

"Okay, but why now?"

"Why not now?" She shrugs and sighs in relief when she pushes it all the way through. "Now I just have to get the ring through."

"Are you sure you don't need help?"

"I don't need help." She flinches trying to put the ring in the hole of the needle. "Fine. Help." She sighs turning to me.

I wash my hands then hesitantly take the ring from her. She closes her eyes holding her breath.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Yes now just do it." I sigh shakily slowly putting the ring into the hole. She flinches slightly squeezing her eyes closed.

"Okay now what?" She lets out a shaky breath holding onto my arm.

"Give me a second."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Just feeling a little sick."

"You just shoved a needle into your nose. I'd be surprised if you didn't feel sick." She glares at me unamused and sits on the toilet. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"I don't know. I think I might have caught a stomach bug or something. Ever since we ate sushi, I've been feeling...queasy over pretty much everything."

"I can take you to the doctor tomorrow."

"No no. I'll be fine."

"I know you hate doctors, but maybe you should go just to make sure everything is okay."

"We'll see, okay?"

"I'll go with you and hold your hand the whole time." She smiles lightly up at me then stands back up.

"Okay now push the needle in the rest of the way making sure the ring is still inside."

"How does the ring stay in?"

"The part that's in my nose goes inside of the hole."

"Oh." I should've known that. I hesitantly start pushing the needle in.

"Just go fast." She blinks rapidly trying to hold her tears back. I bite my lip nervously slipping the needle out. She lets out a shaky breath. "Thank you."

"Do you need me to close it?" She looks into the mirror.

"No I think I got it now."

"You sure?" She reaches into her nose for a few seconds until I hear a click.

"Got it." She sighs starting to clean it. I just watch amused by the whole thing.

"You good?"

"Yeah."

She really does worry me sometimes.
