Maybe it was all in your head. Maybe things were getting to you. Then again, you didn't exactly have the weight of mind powers on your shoulders, so you could just be dramatic. Then again, a pregnancy is never something to undermine.

How were you going to tell Steve? You didn't know. Were you going to talk it through with your parents? Would they even believe that it's his? If they didn't, you were screwed. You may have gotten pregnant, but you sure as hell weren't a cheater. Steve was the only one in your life; you were in love with him. But you were afraid a baby would change his feelings, and not for the better.

Coming out of the bathroom, you shoved the freshly taken, now positive, pregnancy test and shoved up your purple long sleeve tee. After quickly closing your bedroom door, you ran over to your nightstand, opening the drawer and shoving it closed once the test was out of your sight.

It was Friday, which meant your parents were going out to the movies. Mike and his friends were coming over, as well as Jonathan and Nancy and, of course, Steve. You were nervous, and you knew Steve would be able to tell.

When they arrived, you shut your bedroom door, sending everyone to the living room where your mother had set up a tray of snacks and drinks. You'd told Mike not to make a complete mess like last time, and you excused yourself to the kitchen to get more drinks.

Midway through, Dustin came in.

"Hey, Y/N," He smiled softly. "I think I left one of my action figures upstairs last time I was here. Is it cool if I go look?"

He was leaning against the doorframe as you poured soda. You nodded, smiling with your lips closed, and Dustin passed Steve as he left the kitchen. Steve came in after doing his nerdy handshake with the younger boy. He was smiling, hair fresh and poofy. You could faintly see a scar on his chin from when the events of July happened, but you were too distracted to really notice it like you usually would.

"Hey, baby," He leaned on the counter beside you. "Whatcha up to, all alone in here?"

"Nothing," you mumbled.

"Everything okay? Your day go alright?" You nodded, and he sighed, kissing your cheek before returning to his slouched position.

"Are you sure everything is-" He started, but Dustin cut him off from the doorway.

"Y/N? What's this?"

You gasped, staring at the pregnancy test in his hands, and Steve shot upright, sending questioning glazes. You dropped the cup of soda, the glass shattering, catching the eyes and ears of a few other friends.

"That's mine." You snatched it from his hands, turning away from the two boys in the kitchen.

"Y/N..." Steve slowly approached you. "Talk to me, baby." You let out an inaudibly grumble, and Steve waved Dustin out of the room. When the boy had gone, he maneuvered himself around the broken glass and spilled Coke, guiding you to the other side of the island with floors clear of shattered glass.

"I'm sorry," you let out a gasp between falling tears. He cooed at you, bringing you into his embrace, holding you tightly while you silently cried.

"Sorry for what, baby?"

"For being- a careless brat. I'm pregnant a-and you're gonna hate me."

"Hey," He held you a few inches away, just enough for him to make eye contact and still be surrounded by you. "Look at me. I will never hate you," he makes sure you understand. "Never." You nod, and he kisses your forehead. "C'mere," he pulls you closer, head atop yours as you hug for what seems like the rest of the night. "We'll figure it out," he kisses your head after each pause. "Together."
