The day the producer's told you about the project going through and getting accepted, you cried. Of course, your novel was a New York Best Seller's, but producing it into a movie would reach thousands of new people, and hopefully expand your fan-base.

Tom could not have been prouder of you, or excited for you. He had even said he wanted to try out for the main character, but you quickly dismissed that idea.

"Tommy, I love you. But you just aren't how I envisioned that character."

He laughed, agreeing, because he wanted to spend more time with you, behind the camera, during the making of the movie.

It was the first week with the actors. The set was almost perfect to what you had imagined when writing the novel, and you could've cried all over again. Tom would be coming to set later, after finishing up a meeting and some last-minute photo's for an upcoming film.

An hour after arriving, the actor's were coming in, dressed as the character's and prepping for the next few scenes.

And then, the camera was rolling. It was magical; how easily and how well the actors had brought your characters to life.

Joshua, the actor who had landed the leading role, was doing especially well. Word was that he had read your book, front to back, to prep for this part.

When the scene was over, you were talking to the director, giving input and saying what you liked and disliked about the production. Joshua had made his way over to you, interrupting your conversation.

"Hi, I'm Josh," he introduced himself, offering a handshake.

You accepted, shaking his hand and telling him your name.  th

"That's pretty," he commented.

"Uh, thanks, Josh," you laughed awkwardly.

And then he was off again, back in front of the camera.

"Hey, babe," Tom said, walking over & sitting across from you. "You're on break?"

"Yeah. The whole crew, too, I think."

Tom nodded, drinking some water from a bottle he brought. "How is it? Filming," he asked.

"It's good. The actors are really good," you said.

"Yeah?"

"Mhmm."

You and Tom were sitting at a table alone, though there was plenty of space for other people to join you. Which they did. Well, not they, more like Josh

"Hey, Y/N," he said, sitting next to you.

"Hey, Jos-"

"I really love this part of the book," he said, sliding the open novel in front of you. "It's really good."

The scene, which was one of the key moments in the book, was the part in which the two main characters had fought, even though they both knew they loved each other. It was quite sad, considering the ending wasn't your stereotypical 'happily-ever-after.'

"Oh, thanks."

"It's really beautiful," Josh said. "Just like you."

Tom, who was only quietly observing from his spot, had a fire growing in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to stop Josh, tell him that he was yours and you were his. He wanted to shut down the kid's growing crush (though he was only a year younger then you). The ball of jealousy only grew the more Josh sat there and talked to you and only you.

You had noticed, of course. You knew Josh was seemingly interested, and you knew that Tom was getting jealous. You knew, and so did Tom, that he wasn't normally a jealous guy; there was no reason to ever feel that. There were no threats to your relationship, because Tom knew nobody could win your heart over when he had such a hold over it.

This was different, though. Because Josh wasn't just a person, but he was the person who was creating your dream, bringing your character to the real world. Tom wouldn't know it, but you would never call it jealousy. You knew it was a fear of losing you disguised at what everyone called jealousy.

Josh was currently rambling about how amazing you and your work were, probably leading to the one question you and Tom both knew were coming.

"Do you wanna go out sometime?" Josh finally asked.

"Uhm, as flattered as I am, Josh, we work together. And I'd really like to keep it professional, especially since my boyfriend is going to be with me a lot during the production," you sheepishly smiled, looking towards Tom in hopes that Josh would get the message.

"Oh- of course, yeah, right," Josh said, getting up and leaving you two alone once again.

"I was about to explode, oh my fucking god. He was so obvious! Am I just invisible or somethi-!"

"You know you're really cute when you get jealous," you cut him off.

Tom playfully pouted, looking down at his hands. "I wasn't jealous," he mumbled out.

"No?" you giggled.

"No."

"C'mere, baby, I know. I love you, okay?"

"Okay," he said, giving in, hiding in the crook of your neck as you hugged.
