"Hey Peter, are we still on for tomorrow?" You asked him.

The boy looked like he was debating on how to respond, as if you and him hadn't been talking about the sleepover-move-night all week.

"Actually, I think I'm gonna be busy, tomorrow. Sorry, Y/N," Peter said, leaving you shocked, and alone by your locker.

You turned around to look at him, but he was already around the corner.

When you met up in between classes, Peter and his girlfriend, Sabina, were already talking.

"Hey, Pete, Sabina," You said, coming up to them.

What you got from Peter was a mumbled response, and a scoff & an eye roll from Sabina.

With annoyance, you left the two alone at his locker, without waiting for them. Peter looked back to you, feeling guilty about practically ignoring you, but Sabina had started talking again, so he dropped those thoughts.

You were sitting next to Michelle at a table, your untouched food sitting in front of you. It was lunch time, and Peter was no where to be found, probably off making out with his girlfriend or something. It wouldn't have mattered, because you and MJ were deep into discussion about quantum physics. Occasionally, you two would laugh about a ridiculous theory that one of you would mention, and that happened to be right now.

You were laughing, until somebody had tapped you on the shoulder. Turning to face them, you saw Peter, practically hovering over you with an angered expression. Behind him, was Sabina, with an exasperated expression and red eyes & tears.

"Why'd you do it?" Peter said, voice rough and crisp.

"Do.. what?" You asked, confused.

"You know what I'm talking about," Peter said.

"If I knew, I wouldn't have asked."

"Quit being a smartass and just apologize."

"I have nothing to apologize for! I don't even know what I did!" You defended yourself.

"You called Sabina a 'whore'! A 'slut!' A 'hoe!' You can't just go around calling people those things, Y/N! And especially not my girlfriend! Honestly- I thought you were better than that," Peter spoke, disappointment laced in his voice.

"I don't know who you think you are," you said, voice raised. "But in the ten years that we've been friends, I've not once lied to you, Peter. And if you believe that for one second, that I would call someone those names that I myself have been called, then I'm sorry to say it, but you're just a naive child. Honestly, Peter," you laughed sarcastically, angry tears threatening to spill. "I don't even know who you are anymore."

"First you throw names at my girlfriend, and then you call me a liar?" Peter said, voice matching yours. "If you're going to be immature about it, then we can't be friends-"

"Fine!" You yelled, making the cafeteria grow eerily silent, all eyes watching the two of you, Sabina with a smug smile fitted on her face. "I don't wanna be friends with someone like you anyways!" You said, the angered tears finally falling.
