summary : scarlet becomes an older sister

"Tom, you wanna bring Scarlet in?" You said, sitting up slightly. 

The labor process went smoothly, or as smooth as it could've. Both you and the baby were healthy, and Tom was by your side the entire time. Now, three hours later, you were well rested and holding your second child, your newborn babygirl: Jade. 

"Okay, love. I think mum's still outside. She'll probably be in again later," Tom said, and you laughed as he left to get Scarlet from Nikki.

"Hey, mum," he said, hugging her and his brothers. "Y/N/N wants to see Scarlet." 

"Oh, do be careful. Can we watch, darling? It's such a magical moment when siblings meet for the first time." 

"Give us ten minutes, mum?" Tom asked, holding Scarlet's hand.

Nikki nodded, glancing down to Red with a small smile before watching Tom kneel down. 

"Are you ready to meet your baby sister, Red?" he spoke softly, holding both of her hands gently. 

"Is mummy there too, daddy?"

"She sure is, Red," Tom said, ruffling her tummy. 

"Is baby small?"

"So small, baby. Fingers smaller than yours."

"Really?" she asked, eyes doe and puppy-like.

"Mhmm. Now c'mon," he said, standing up and walking her to your room. 

Knocking, they came in, finding you sitting upright, the baby sleeping in your arms. 

"Going up, Red, three, two one," Tom counted down as he hoisted her up onto the hospital bed as if she didn't have any weight at all. She was sitting in front of your legs, her dress bunched up and wrinkled in some places. She was glancing curiously at Jade, wonders for how the baby human came to be. 

"What's it's name, daddy?" she asked. 

"Jade, baby," You whispered.

"Jade's your little sister," Tom said, kneeling beside the bed with his elbows on the mattress.

"She's chubby," Red stated. 

You laughed at her, "You were too, baby." 

After a few moments, you spoke up, "Do you wanna hold her, Red?"

She nodded, reaching her arms out. Gently, you transferred Jade into Red's arms, and you heard the sniffles of Nikki by the doorway, your own mother standing with your father with a phone out and recording. 

"She already loves you, baby," Tom said.

Red smiled, and Tom stood up and kissed you on the forehead, slipping into the tight spot next to you. 

"Did so well, angel. So proud."

"Love you, Tommy." 

"Love you, too. Love all my girls."
