Seven hours. It had been seven hours since Tom had come home with an Oscar, and already it was broken. Granted, leaving it in a house with three other boys probably wasn't the best idea, but none of them were outrageously irresponsible, and who would have ever thought of touching such an item?

Ah, but of course. Tom would believe those he trusted. And he trusted her, didn't he? Of course he did -- does -- they're dating for Pete's sake, that's part of the foundation of their entire relationship: trust.

So why are they here, fighting in the middle of the living room if he supposedly trusts her? The boys -- and Y/N, for that matter -- don't even know.

"Y/N?" Tom calls out, prompting her down the stairs as she makes her way to see what he needs.

"What's up?" she asks, her front to his back. "Is someth-"

"Did you break this?" Tom turns around slowly, the pieces of the reward fitted in both of his hands, eyes a tinted red and ears scarlet too.

"What? Oh my god, Tom, what happened-"

"Did you break this?" he tries again, stronger and more serious, each word coming out slow and clear.

"Of course not," Y/N tries assuring him.

"That so?" he challenges, hands going down to his side, anger thickening the tension already set into the air and the room.

"That is so," she says back just as strong, hands crossing in front of her chest. "Why would I break it?"

"I don't know!" Tom exclaims, hands going up. "Who else could it have been?"

"Maybe one of the other three people that live here," Y/N shot out, teeth grinding in frustration.

"Yeah sure," he speaks sarcastically, his tongue doing nothing to fight out the sass.

Y/N begins to get fidgety, palms and pits sweating as she looks back at Tom in annoyance. "What's that supposed to mean? You can't honestly think I did this-- not after I just told you that I didn't."

"Well it seems like you broke it!" Tom accuses, Y/N's eyes going wide in response.

"Did you even bother to ask anyone else?" Y/N fumes, rage pouring out thickly in her voice.

"I don't-" he groans, irritated, agitated. "Nobody else would do this; the boys wouldn't do this."

"Oh so just blame me, right?" Y/N shrieks an angry sound, a hand moving to her hip. "Don't you trust me? I just told you I didn't do it!"

Tom ignores her last sentence, "You know how much this means to me," he held up the broken trophy again. "You could've at least told me you did it.'

"I didn't do anything!" she yells, hands shooting up as she took a step back. "I know what it means to you, that's why I wouldn't ever do this!" She motions to the broken trophy.

"Well it looks like you did it anyways!"

"God fuck, Tom," Y/N rasps out, hands wiping at her face. "You know I'm proud of you for this achievement, but if you're going to be such a fucking asshole about a goddamn trophy-"
