*YOUR POV*

I listened to the snow that crunched unders Victor's boots as I sat on his shoulder. Halfway there he got too cold to stay a dog, after all he wasn't very fluffy. We weren't far from the lake and we hadn't said a word since we left. Both of us wore our old cipher uniforms, black uniforms and with this weather a heavy fur coat to keep us warm. I still remained an owl since I was more comfortable this way.

"Sooooo- do you know any of the other agents." Victor isn't comfortable with silence, thats why he always feels the need to run his mouth. He knows that I don't because if I did he would to. I looked at him with my eyes narrowed to tell him to stay quiet.

"Got it- silence!"

After thirty minutes of walking we arrived at the lake, I left his shoulder and decided to stand next to him as we waited for our new boss.

"Did they say what time they'd be here."

"No. They just said to be here at this time and place." Our breath was as visible as smoke in the air. I saw Victor's head snap to across the lake where a fox emerged from the woods and sat down patiently.

"Is that our signal?"

"I have no idea."

We watched as the animal started to slowly stand up and shift in a more human figure. They wore a white suit opposite of ours and a familar fox mask that I swear I could remember from somewhere. Finally from behind was another person, a woman with a spider mask. Everything clicked.

"Veronica?"

Victor heard me as his head snapped back and forth between the two of us. Instead of walking around i watched as both of them crossed the frozen lake and made there way over to us.

"Good, im happy to see you both comply with orders." We both stood at attention and saluted the agent in front of us.

"At ease you two, no need to stress out, both of you will be forgiven for your crimes and will be sent back to base for retraining."

"Retraining is that necessary?"

"Of course you and Lilith have been inactive for six years we're aware that your rokushiki and haki have severally suffered from lack of training. Veronica if you will!"

She made her way over to us and motioned for us to kneel. When we did she pulled out a bag and removed a metal collar out.

"What are these for?" I refused to talk as Victor asked all the questions I had.

"Precautions! I know she said you would come willing but im not in my position because of trust." I watched as she clicked the metal collar on him as he slumped to the ground.

"Sea- prism- stone?" Victor held himself up but barely. She made he way towards me as my mind raced.

'This is it once thats on me there's no going back. Even if I did escape Kid wouldn't be able to remove it. I'm sorry, could this have been avoided. It doesn't matter i made my choice now I have to live with it."

She was about to place it on my neck when the fox fellow spoke up.

"Wait!" He closed his eyes and listened carefully. I did the same and heard heavy and lighter footsteps in the heavy snow.

"I thought you said you came alone."

"We- did! We can't do any-thing if we were- followed." Victor was struggling  to talk as I watched him lay on the ground.
