Ant's new son

Neil needs us

<few hours later>
[outside the house]
(Third person P. O. V)
When Ant pulled up outside his house, he turned the car off and looked over to Neil who was curled up in the passenger seat sleeping which made Ant smile but gutted since he had wake him up. So very gently, he rubbed Neil's shoulder and softly said.
"Neil, time to wake up son. We're home now."
Neil groaned a bit and started to wake up. When he fully woke up, he rubbed his eyes and sleepily asked.
"How long was I asleep for?"
"Since we left the hospital Kidda. Come on, let get you in so you can have some food and a nice hot shower." Ant gently said.
"Ok." Neil tiredly replied.
So after they undid their seatbelts, both Ant and Neil got out of Ant's car along with Hurley, Neil's medication and bag.
[outside the car]
(Third person P. O. V)
When the both of them got out of the car, Ant noticed Neil limping a bit so he quickly asked.
"Neil, would like me to carry you again or do you want to hold my hand instead?"
"I would like to hold your hand instead." Neil replied in a quiet voice.
"Ok then son." Ant gently replied.
Ant held his hand out for Neil to hold and once Neil took his hand, the both of them and Hurley headed for the house.
[inside the house]
(Third person P. O. V)
When they entered the house, Annie Marie came up to them, gave Ant a hug, turned to Neil and kindly said.
"Hello Neil, it's nice to meet you."
"Hello." Neil replied in a quiet voice.
"He's just tired darling. He haven't long woken up. Have you Neil?" Ant gently asked.
Neil nodded his head in response. Anne Marie felt more bad for Neil and didn't like seen the state of him especially his eye. She then sweetly said.
"I hope you're hungry sweetheart, there's a pizza in the oven."
Neil smiled and in response. Ant put his arm around Neil and gently suggested.
"Neil why don't you take Hurley and go into the living room? I'll come in and let you know when food ready. Ok?"
"Ok." Neil whispered in response.
Once Neil went into the living room with Neil, Ant and Anne Marie went into the kitchen.
[In the kitchen]
When Ant and Anne Marie were in the kitchen, Anne Marie literally burst into tears.
"Oh my gosh, that poor boy." She sobbed.
Ant pulled her in hug and gently said.
"I know love, I know."
"What kind of a father does that to his son?" Anne Marie rhetorically asked.
After a few minutes, Anne Marie calmed down and checked on the food whilst Ant put the medication bag on the side.
"What's in the bag?" Anne Marie then asked.
"Dressings and bandages for Neil's wrists and back, pain medication for his ribs and cough medicine for his chesty cough. He needs to take the medicine before meals and before he does to bed, the medication is for his ribs when he's in pain and needs fresh dressings after he has shower." Ant explained.
"How many spoons of medicine does he need?" Anne Marie curiously asked.
"Two teaspoons, better give it to him now." Ant replied.
Anne Marie then got a glass from the cupboard, filled it with water and handed it to Ant whilst saying.
"In case he doesn't like the taste." Anne Marie reassured.
Ant smiled and took the medicine, water and teaspoon then headed to the living room.
[In the living room]
When Ant came into the living room, he smiled when he saw Neil giving Hurley a belly rub whilst the other two dogs were sleeping. Neil looked up and saw Ant standing behind him.
"Sorry Mr McPartlin, I didn't see you come in..." Neil began saying.
"It's alright Neil, no need to apologise. I'm happy to see that you're having fun with Hurley. I've only come in to give your medicine before tea." Ant reassuringly replied.
"Ok." Neil then said.
Neil got on to his feet and stood in front of Ant. Ant then gave two teaspoons of the medicine to Neil who gave a disgust face.
"That's horrible." Neil said in disgust.
"I know son, it's not very nice but it will help make your cough better. Here, have a some water to help wash it down." Ant sweetly said whilst giving Neil the water.
Neil gratefully took the glass and took a few sips of the water to help get rid of the taste of the medicine.
"Better now?", asked Ant.
"Yeah." Neil replied.
Just then the both of them heard Anne Marie shouting.
"TEA READY."
"Ok love." Ant called back then turned to Neil,"Come on kidda, let's get some food in you. Is it?"
"Yes please." Neil smiled.
Ant chuckled and put his arm around Neil. The two of them then headed to the kitchen.
<few minutes later>
[in the kitchen]
(Third person P. O. V)
After tea was finished, Neil had a big smile on his face which both Anne Marie and Ant happy.
"Did you enjoy that Neil?" Anne Marie kindly asked.
"Yes I did." Neil happily replied but then started yawning.
"I think we better get you ready for bed Neil. You're looking very tired." Ant declared.
Neil agreed as he was too tired to argue.
"Ant why don't you take Neil upstairs for a shower and get him ready for bed? I'll do the dishes." Anne Marie suggested.
"Ok then love, come on Neil." Ant gently said to Neil.
Neil gently got onto his feet and started limping to Ant which made both him and Anne Marie worry but neither of them said a word. Once Neil was by Ant, the both of them then headed up to upstairs.
<few hours later>
[Neil's room]
(Ant's P. O. V)
After Neil had a shower, I managed to find him one of my T-shirts and a pair of bottoms which were my nephews for Neil to wear for bed. When I came into the room along with the clothes, bag and the dressings, I immediately saw the lashes on Neil's back as he had his knees up tucked up to his chest, seen them made me frown.
"They're horrible aren't they?" Neil said in a quiet voice.
I knew he was referring to his marks. I wanted to lie but I couldn't. As I walked up to him and sat beside him, I put my arm over him and comforted him whilst he began crying again. As he was crying, I looked down and saw how red and swollen his wrists were which broke my heart even more.
After Neil was done crying, I very gently put fresh dressings on his wrists and carefully wrapped them up with the bandages. Once I tapped off the ends of the bandages on each of Neil's wrists, I then moved to his back and gently put new dressings on the lash marks.
"All done now kidda, you can put the clothes on now whilst I'll go and get your medicine." I then said after I was finished.
"Ok then." Neil sadly whispered.
<few seconds later>
When I came back with the medicine and another glass water, I saw Neil sitting in the middle of the bed looking at picture with tears coming down his eyes. As I sat next to him, I saw that the picture was of him and his mum which made me feel more sad for him.
"Is that one of things you took with you from your old house Neil?" I kindly but sadly asked.
"Yeah along with a few other things." Neil replied quietly.
Neil handed the bag to me to have a look in. When I looked in the bag, I saw that there were a few more pictures of Neil with his mum, a teddy bear, spare boxers and socks, money and a signed photo of Me and Dec. As I looked back at him, I saw him trying his best not to cry again whilst looking at the picture.
"Do you want another hug Neil?" I gently asked him.
Neil nodded his head in response but began to cry. When I pulled him into a hug, Neil locked his arms around my neck and cried right onto my shoulder whilst tearfully saying.
"I miss her so much Mr McPartlin. I just want her back. I want my mum back."
"I know you do son. I know you do." I whispered into his ear trying to calm him down.
After a few minutes, Neil started to feel sleepy from all his crying. So I gave him two more teaspoons of his medicine and tucked him up in bed along with his teddy bear. After I tucked him up, Neil had already falling asleep whilst hugging the bear.
I then very slowly and quietly turned the light off and left the room whilst closing the door very quietly. Once I closed the door, I headed back downstairs to the living room.
[In the living room]
Soon as I came into the living room, I saw Amzie sitting on the sofa with Hurley sleeping next to her. As I sat next to her, she immediately put her arm around me and said.
"I heard everything. That poor boy."
"Seen him in the state that he's in, literally is breaking my heart love. I'm not going to lie. I can't imagine what's it's going to like for him when the police come and talk to him." I honestly said.
"Hey, we'll cross that bridge when it comes to it babe. Right now, Neil needs to start feeling loved again and he needs support from the both us." Anne Marie pointed out.
"I know love, I know." I whispered.
The two of us then watch telly for the rest of the evening but neither of us couldn't stop thinking about Neil.
