Ant's new son

Surprising Dec

<mid morning>
[Outside Dec's house]
(Third person P. O. V)
After parking outside Dec's, Ant and Neil both got out of the car. As they made their way to the door. Ali came out along with Isla who was happy to see her uncle Ant.
"Uncle Ant." Isla exclaimed as she ran up to him.
Ant laughed as he gently picked up Isla and gave her a cuddle.
"Hello darling, how are you." Ant cooed to Isla.
Ali smiled as she approached Ant and Neil. Neil kindly smiled at her and politely said.
"Hello Mrs Donnelly, nice to see you again."
"Nice to see you too Neil, you're looking so well and very nice in those new clothes." Ali kindly complimented as she hugged Neil.
"We went shopping yesterday after his appointment. I decided to spoil him since now he's officially my adopted son." Ant proudly said.
"Oh yes, I almost forgot. Congratulations, I bet the pair of you are really chuffed about that. Aren't you?" Ali happily asked whilst still hugging Neil.
"Yes we definitely are. Aren't we Neil?" Ant replied whilst putting Isla down.
"Absolutely." Neil cheerfully said.
After Ali was done hugging Neil, she then hugged Ant and gave him a kiss whilst Neil picked up Isla and gave her a hug.
"Neil, why don't you take Isla and fetch Hurley from the car? Whilst Mrs Donnelly and I have a catch up." Ant kindly suggested to Neil.
"Ok." Neil agreed.
Ant then handed Neil the car keys. Once Neil took the keys, he and Isla headed to Ant's car to fetch Hurley.
"He really does look well from the last time Dec and I saw him. You've done a good job Ant." Ali proudly said to Ant.
"Thanks Ali but it weren't just me. Amzie helped out as well." Ant happily said.
Ali then hugged Ant and gave him a kiss. Once Neil came back with Isla and Hurley who was on his lead, Ali then picked up Isla and put her in car. After putting Isla in the car, Ali turned back to Ant and Neil and said.
"Just to let you know, Dec is still asleep since he was up all night with Isla and the house is a bit in a mess."
"Don't worry Ali darling, Neil and I will help clean the house." Ant reassuringly said.
"And we won't wake up Mr Donnelly either." Neil kindly added.
Ali smiled. So after giving both Ant and Neil another hug and kiss, she then got into the car herself and drove away.
After Ali drove away, Ant put his arm around Neil and said.
"Come on kidda, let's head inside and tidy up the house whilst Dec is still asleep."
"Ok Mr McPartlin. Shall I let Rocky out in the back garden along with Hurley so they can have a run about?" Neil then asked.
"Yes that's a good idea Neil." Ant agreed as he put his arm over Neil.
The two of them and Hurley then made their way in Dec's house.
<few minutes later>
(Third person P. O. V)
After tidying up Dec's house, Ant was making his way upstairs to Dec's room with two cups of teas and toast for Dec whilst Neil was in the living room, putting all of Isla's toys away and playing with dogs.
[In Dec's and Ali's room]
(Ant's P. O. V)
Soon as I entered Dec's and Ali's room, seen Dec sleeping so peacefully brought a smile on my face. Once I was next to his side of the bed, I set his tea and toast on his bedside whilst I sat down of the bed sipping my tea.
Just then I heard Dec waking up. He was yawning and starting to sit up. Whilst he rubbing his eyes, I cheerfully greeted.
"Morning sleeping beauty."
Dec jumped when he heard me talking to him which made me giggle a bit. Soon as he saw me, he grumpily said.
"Anthony McPartlin, how many times have I told you not to scare me like that."
"Calm down Scrappy Doo. I didn't mean to scare ya. I was just being kind and saying good morning to ya." I replied whilst laughing.
Dec glared at me for a few seconds but sighed after seeing the tea and toast I made him.
"You're forgiven." Dec gratefully said whilst take a sip of his tea.
"That's good then," I happily said, "By the way, I've tided up the house a bit and Neil has let Rocky out in the back garden for a run around along with Hurley."
"Oh thanks Ant," Dec happily began saying, "I honestly forgot about the mess because Isla being a handful at the minute. By the way, where's Neil?"
"Downstairs in the living room, putting Isla's toys and playing with the dogs." I then replied whilst sipping my tea.
"Oh right, how did his hospital appointment go yesterday?" Dec then asked whilst taking a bite out of his toast.
"Ok. His eye healed along with the cuts and bruises and the chest infection cleared but his wrists, ribs and back are still healing at the moment. Other good news, he's put on some weight since staying with me." I happily answered.
Dec laughed at that whilst eating his toast.
"Probably from your cooking that he's put on some weight." Dec teasingly said.
"Funny enough, Neil said that as well." I pointed out whilst laughing.
Dec ended up laughing as well. After he finished his breakfast, I took the plate of him and got up from the bed.
"Dec, after you're dressed and washed. Come to the living room. Neil and I got a surprise for you." I kindly instructed.
"Surprise? What surprise?" Dec suspiciously asked.
"Wait and see Declan. Just wait and see till you come down." I teasingly replied.
I then left the room to leave Dec to get changed.
<few seconds later>
(Third person P. O. V)
After getting washed and dressed, Dec made his way downstairs to the living room. He was wearing a light grey shirt and black jeans.
[In the living room]
(Third person P. O. V)
Once Dec came into the living room. He saw both the dogs sleeping together in Rocky's bed and Ant and Neil sitting on the other sofa.
"Morning Mr Donnelly." Neil kindly greeted.
"Hello Neil, you're looking very nice in those new clothes and trainers." Dec nicely complimented as he sat down.
"Thanks, Mr McPartlin got me them." Neil happily said.
Dec looked over to Ant whose was putting his arm around Neil and proudly said.
"I thought it was time to spoil him since he was brave giving his statement to the police."
"I'm sensing something else here, you're hiding something from me Anthony. I can always tell when you're hiding something from me." Dec asked whilst getting more suspicious.
Ant began grinning at Dec. He knew he couldn't keep the news from him any longer so he turned to Neil and encouragingly asked.
"Neil, why don't you give Dec the note you have for him?"
Neil did what he was told. He got up, headed over to Dec, sat down next to him and handed him a small envelope. Dec took the envelope and then asked.
"What's this?"
"Open it and find out Declan.", replied Ant.
Dec then opened the envelope and found a folded up note inside. He then took the note out, unfolded it and began to read what it said.
"Dear Mr Donnelly,
Thank you for the support you and Mrs Donnelly have given me during these past few weeks and I hope you're ok with the fact that I'm now part of the family seen as now I'm officially Mr McPartlin's adopted son.
Thanks for your help on making this adoption official.
Neil."
After reading the note, Dec looked right at Neil who was smiling at him and happily saying.
"Surprise."
Dec then looked over Ant who was smiling as well and nodding his head.
"It's official. You've been approved to being Neil's adoptive parent?" Dec shockingly asked.
"Yeah I have. Both me and Amzie been approved." Ant happily replied.
"You are happy about it, aren't you Mr Donnelly?" Neil then asked whilst getting a bit worried.
After hearing what Neil just asked, Dec then very gently pulled Neil in a hug and happily said.
"Of course I am Neil. This is just the best news ever."
Neil happily returned the hug. Whilst they were still hugging, Ant came over and joined in so they were all in a big group hug. After they were done hugging, Dec then asked.
"I've got a question, is this why you wanted to spend the night here with just me?"
"Yeah, I thought it would be the best way for us to celebrate. Me, you and Neil having a special celebration together." Ant honestly replied.
"Very sneaky of you Ant, very sneaky of you on doing that." Dec said whilst smiling and shaking his head.
Ant just shrugged his shoulders and laughed. It was then Neil cheekily asked.
"Mr McPartlin, can Haydn come over to celebrate as well, please?"
Ant was about to say something but Dec, who was starting to laugh, said.
"Come on mate, let's invite Haydn over. We can't little Ant without little Dec and I would very much like to see him again."
After hearing what Dec just said and looking at Neil's pleadingly face, Ant sighed and gave in. He then said.
"Alright, you two win. Neil, has Haydn said if he's free today?"
"Yeah, he's just texted me. He's not doing anything, just sat in his room. His mum tidying up and his dad working." Neil honestly replied.
"Alright then, I'll give his mum a ring and see what she says about it. Don't be disappointed if he can't come over though. Ok?" Ant firmly asked.
"Ok." Neil understandingly replied.
Ant then got his phone and rang Mrs Reid. After a few minutes, Ant came off his phone and looked over to Neil and Dec.
"He can come over. Mrs Reid has given her permission so it looks like it's going to be four of us tonight." Ant happily announced.
"Yes." Neil exclaimed whilst jumping up and giving Ant a hug.
"Why don't we collect him now? So he can join us in walking the dogs." Dec kindly suggested.
"Alright then, let's go now then." Ant then said whilst still hugging Neil.
So once Dec got his shoes and jacket on and put Rocky's lead on him and Ant putting Hurley's lead back on him. He, Ant and Neil headed out of the house and got into Ant's car and headed to Haydn's house.
