<A week later>
(Third person P. O. V)
It has been a week since Neil came to stay with Ant and Anne Marie. During that time, he'd met Anne Marie's two daughters Poppy and Daisy and they were happy with the idea of having Neil as their older adoptive brother and Neil was happy having two adoptive sisters. Ant and Anne Marie already had a visit from social services and were told the house was suitable for Neil to live with them, they were just waiting for the adoption papers to arrive. But one thing they kept worrying about was Neil's father and kept hoping that he'd get caught soon.

It was a bright morning, Poppy and Daisy were in the living watching telly with Anne Marie, Ant was making breakfast with help from Neil.

Whilst making the table, Neil started coughing which turned into a full fit. Ant noticed and quickly went over to Neil.
"It's ok Neil. It's ok." Ant gently whispered whilst rubbing Neil's back.
After the fit was over, Neil took a few deep breaths whilst Ant fetched him a glass of water.
"Here you are son, take a few sips of water." Ant kindly instructed.
Neil took the glass and took a few sips of water. After taking the sips, Neil handed the glass back to Ant and gratefully said.
"Thank you Mr McPartlin."
"You're welcome son but I think it's time for your medicine." Ant then said.
Neil sighed but agreed. Ant went to get the medicine and gave Neil two spoonfuls of it. After taking the medicine, Neil pulled a disgusted face which made Ant laugh a bit.
"How much longer do I have to keep taking that?" Neil moaned.
"Only till your chesty cough has cleared up Neil. Now how about you go and tell the girls that breakfast is ready, hey?" Ant kindly suggested.
"Ok." Neil quickly replied.
So after Neil called Anne Marie and the girls, everyone sat the table and had breakfast together.
<few minutes later>
After everyone finished their breakfast, Ant and Anne Marie both got up and started to clear up. It was then Anne Marie said.
"Girls go and get your stuff ready for your sleepovers with your friends tonight."
"Ok mum." Both Poppy and Daisy replied.
Neil noticed something was up with Poppy and Daisy just by looking at their faces including Anne Marie's and Ant's.
"Is something wrong? You all look like you're hiding something." Neil suspiciously asked.
The girls giggled but Anne Marie quickly said.
"Let's just say Neil, we've got a surprise for you today. Haven't we Ant?"
"Yes we do love," Ant quickly replied, "and you're really going to like it Neil."
Neil began to feel bit excited about the surprise, it was then he asked.
"What kind of surprise is it?"
"You just have to wait and see, won't you son?" Ant teasingly replied.
Neil felt happy and was looking forward to the surprise. It was then he and the girls headed upstairs to get dressed. Once they left, Anne Marie turned to Ant and happily said.
"He's going to be happy being reunited with Haydn."
"Yeah, he's going to like it. No boy should be apart from his best friend." Ant happily replied.
"That's true," Anne Marie agreed, "I just hope his parents are still ok to tell their version of Neil's abuse before they lost contact with him."
"I hope so too. We're going to need their support if we're ever going to build a strong case against Neil's father." Ant honestly said.
Anne Marie then went up to Ant, put her arms over him and kissed the side of his head which Ant was grateful to accept. The two of them then started to the dishes.

By mid morning, Poppy and Daisy had already left with their friends for their sleepovers, Neil was getting ready, Ant was walking the dogs and Anne Marie was tidying up the house.

Anne Marie was in the middle of tidying the sofa and chairs when she saw Neil coming wearing black bottoms with green strips and a light green long sleeve shirt.
"Hey there lovely, how do the new clothes fit on you?" Anne Marie kindly asked.
"Very well. Thanks for getting them Miss Corbett." Neil gratefully thanked.
"You're welcome. How about when you're feeling better, we'll take you shopping for some more clothes and brand new shoes. How does that sound?" Anne Marie then asked with a smile on her face.
Neil smiled when he heard that which made Anne Marie also smile. Just then, they heard Ant coming in with the dogs. Once Ant came into living room, he happily greeted.
"Hello you two. Awww Neil, you're looking very nice in those clothes kidda."
"Thanks Mr McPartlin." Neil happily said.
Ant gently ruffled Neil's head and gave Anne Marie a kiss on the cheek. Neil was given Hurley and the other dogs fuss and was still wondering about what his surprise was, so he cheekily asked.
"Mr McPartlin, Miss Corbett, are you going to tell me what my surprise is now?"
"No we are not Neil, you're just going to have to wait and see." Ant replied whilst laughing.
Neil pouted which made Ant and Anne Marie laugh. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Anne Marie looked through the window and then looked back at Ant with her thumb up to him. Ant smiled and headed to open the door but Neil was suspicious, so he asked.
"What's going on?"
"You'll see now in a minute Neil." Anne Marie happily replied.
Just then, the both of them heard the door closing and Ant talking to someone. Soon as Ant came back into the living room, he looked at Neil and happily said.
"Neil, someone here to you."
Neil quickly got onto his feet and surprisingly asked.
"Who?"
Ant then stood aside to let three people in and Neil couldn't believe his eyes when he saw they were. It was Haydn and his parents.
"Haydn." Neil gasped.
"Neil." Haydn gasped back.
The two boys then hugged each other and started crying.
"I've missed you soooo much." Haydn whispered into Neil's ear.
"I've missed you too." Neil whispered back.
The two boys carried on hugging each other whilst Ant, Anne Marie and Haydn's parents happily watched.
