Ant's new son

Thanks for everything

<A month later later>
(Third person P. O. V)
It had been a month since the talent show and since then, everyone in the boy's youth club had been ever so grateful to both Neil and Haydn for winning the show and the prize money especially Jim. Neil and Haydn have been non stop seeing each other and Neil has had a lot of people in his new school asking for Ant's and Dec's autographs and what it been like living with Ant.
As for Ant, he and Anne Marie have been so happy that their family was complete with Neil, Poppy, Daisy and the dogs. Seeing them so happy also made both Dec and Ali happy as well.
<current day>
(Third person P. O. V)
It was the start of the school holidays, Neil was staying with Dec and Ali whilst Ant and Anne Marie were away for the week. In Youth Groove, the boys were hanging out with their friends.
<current time>
[In the youth club's main hall]
While all the kids were hanging out, the boys were in one of the quiet rooms.
[In the quiet room]
Both Neil and Haydn were sat on the sofa having a catch up with each other. But Haydn noticed how quiet Neil was, so he concernedly asked.
"Neil, are you ok?"
"Yeah Haydn, I'm fine." Neil then reassuringly replied.
Haydn could see that Neil wasn't ok. So he then placed his arm over Neil and gently said.
"Neil, I can clearly see that there's something wrong. Please tell me what's the matter?"
Neil sighed. After taking a deep breath, he honestly said.
"I am fine Haydn, really. I'm just thinking that's all."
"Thinking about what?" Haydn curiously asked.
"Everything that's happened," Neil then said, "You know, from losing my mum in a car accident, being abused by my father and running away from him, being found and adopted by Mr McPartlin and Miss Corbett, being reunited with you, getting hit by a car and now the two of us winning that talent show. It been a wild ride for me and you."
Haydn chuckled after listening to what Neil had just said. He then laid his head on Neil's shoulder and happily said.
"Yeah you're right there, it's been mad. Which also reminds me, I've got something for you."
Haydn then reached into his pocket and brought out a small white box then handed it to Neil. Neil took the box and slowly opened it but once he did, he couldn't believe his eyes. In the box was his 'little Ant' badge.
"I kept it with me," Haydn began saying, "After you disappeared, I noticed you left your badge at my house and I kept it with me ever since. I kept hoping and praying that I'd see you again. That day when my mum got the call from Mr McPartlin and I got to see you was the best day ever and I thought after everything that's happened, it was time to give it back to you."
Neil smiled at what Haydn just said. He then linked his arms over Haydn and hugged him. After they were done hugging, Haydn then said.
"Want to know something Neil."
"What's that Haydn?" Neil asked.
"If it weren't for Ant and Dec, we'd never would've met and become the friends that we are today." Haydn happily pointed out.
Neil chuckled at the response and happily agreed with Haydn. It was then he suggestively said.
"Haydn, should we get presents for the both of them to show thankful we are to them?"
"That's a good idea but what should we get them and when should we do it?" Haydn then asked.
"I don't know but I think we should do it tomorrow since we're spending the day together." Neil then said.
"Ok then." Haydn happily agreed.
The two of them then carried on hugging each other.
<Next day>
[In Dec's and Ali's house]
(Third person P. O. V)
It was early evening in the Donnelly household. Ali was in Isla's room reading Isla a story. Dec was making his way downstairs to the living room to spend time with Neil.
[In the living room]
(Dec's P. O. V)
Once as I came into the living room, I heard Neil saying.
"Wondering what was taking you so long uncle Dec?"
I chuckled after I heard that. Soon as I sat down next to Neil on the sofa, I was surprised to see his 'little Ant' badge pinned on his pyjama top.
"Hey Neil, is that your 'little Ant' badge I see pinned on your top there?" I then asked.
Neil smiled and happily replied.
"Yeah it is, Haydn give it back to me yesterday in Youth Groove. I just sent a picture of me wearing it now to him and the girls."
"Haven't you sent it to Ant or Anne Marie?" I then asked.
"Mum yes, Dad no. I want to surprise him. Talking of which," Neil began saying.
Just then he reached down the side of the sofa, brought up a gift bag and handed to me.
"This is for you from me and Haydn. We both got it today when we went shopping." Neil then finished saying.
I was so surprised and speechless when Neil gave me the gift bag. After I took it, I looked inside and saw some packets of minstrels and a photo frame with a picture of me, Ant, Neil and Haydn from the competition after the boys won.
"Oh Neil, thank you so much for this lovely gift." I gratefully said whilst getting a bit emotional.
"It's ok Uncle Dec," Neil happily replied, "The chocolates are from Haydn and the photo from me. The two of us wanted to get you and Dad something as a thank you for everything that's happened and for our friendship because of it wasn't for you two, me and Haydn wouldn't have been the friends that we are today and I wanted to thank you for staying with me that night in the hospital after I got hit by that car and some of things you said to me. It really did help me during my recovery and when I went to the counsellor."
I was completely emotional when I heard that. So after wiping my tears away, I gave Neil a hug which he happily returned. Whilst we still hugging, I heard Neil whispering.
"I love you uncle Dec."
"I love you too Neil." I happily whispered back.
After we were done hugging, I then curiously asked.
"Neil what did you and Haydn get for Ant then?"
"Haydn got him his favourite chocolates but I was wondering if you could help me with mine because I really need some help on making it special for him?" Neil then asked.
"What is it that you got him?" I then asked.
"A photo album. I thought I'd get him that so I could fill it up all the of us and everyone else like the the one he and mum made for me with the pictures of my late mother."
I couldn't help but smile at what Neil just asked me. I then gently pulled Neil into another hug and happily said.
"Neil, I'll be very happy to help you. Don't you worry, we'll make your present very special for Ant."
Neil smiled at me after I said that. We then hugged each other again and it was then I asked.
"Hey Neil, has Ant got you to watch Byker Grove yet?"
"No not yet." Neil quickly replied.
"Good because I think it's about time you did start watching it. How about me and you spend the rest of this evening watching series one and two of Byker Grove?" I suggestively asked.
"Oh please uncle Dec." Neil eagerly replied.
I chuckled once he said that. So after setting up the telly up, Neil and I cuddle up to one another and happily watched Byker Grove for the rest of the evening.
