Raph and Mikey Brotherly Fluff and Comfort Oneshots TMNT 2012

Chapter 10: I'm Always Here for You, Little Sunshine

    So, this one was requested by CelesteLucretia.

    If there was ever a time when Mikey needed his help, this was definitely one of those times. Raph was currently running on the rooftops in the cold, winter night in search of his baby brother, his red bandana tails flapping in the wind. Earlier, there'd been an argument between him and Leo (which isn't surprising considering how many times they got at each other's throats) about a failed mission involving the Kraang and Footbots attempting to rob a drug store, but this fight was the worse. Why? Because:

    1, they'd been fighting right in front of Mikey ever since they got home after one of Leo's plans failed due to Raph's impatience (Donnie wasn't there because he'd gone off to his lab to avoid any involvement), and:
    
    2, they were using weapons, which never happened in any of their previous fights.

    Several times during the argument, Mikey had tried to say something to stop the fight, but Leo just yelled at him to stop interrupting, leading to Raph yelling at Leo, "DON'T YOU DARE BRING MY BEST FRIEND INTO THIS!!!"

    Then, it happened. Time seemed to slow down as Leo raised his katana at Raph, his anger blinding his better judgment as he prepared to deliver a fatal blow. Raph was frozen to the spot at Leo's unexpected action, green eyes widening, when he felt someone push him out of the way and tackle him to the ground......just in time. Raph was alright as he sat up on the floor, but then, a loud scream filled his ears. Glancing to the side, he instantly thought it couldn't get any worse. Mikey was kneeling on the floor, blood seeping through his hand, which covered one half of his face, as it dripped onto the floor. When Raph removed the hand, however, he gasped. Mikey's innocent, childlike face had 2 big scratches right down his left eye and left cheek respectively. While they didn't look very deep, they were definitely injured enough to be scars if they didn't heal properly.

    Mikey felt his face and gasped at the amount of blood he felt. His eyes filled with tears as he glanced up at Leo, who was wide eyed himself as he realized too late what he did. Master Splinter came out of the dojo, having heard the commotion. "What is going on here?" he demanded when he saw Mikey's injured face.

    No one said anything. Almost about to cry, Mikey reluctantly explained the whole story, leaving the old rat himself wide eyed at the end. Mikey slowly backed up, his bottom lip quivering. When Leo took a step towards him, he cried and raced out of the lair into the sewers. Raph glanced up at Splinter, who nodded without saying anything; he knew what Raph was asking. As soon as he got the nod, Raph raced to Donnie's lab to borrow one of the spare first-aid emergency kits Donnie always took with him on patrol. After grabbing an electric heating blanket just in case, he raced out of the lab, out the exit, and into the sewers after the youngest. Leo was about to follow, but a sharp, stern voice stopped him: "Leonardo!"

    Leo froze at Splinter's command. He slowly turned towards the old ninja master. "Come with me." was all Splinter said as he headed towards the dojo, Leo's shoulders slumping in dread before following.

    And now this explains why Raph was now running across the rooftops looking for Mikey. Something told him that Splinter was going to save a lecture for him later, but that was the least of his worries. For now, finding Mikey and getting him home was his #1 top priority. Find Mikey now, worry about the lecture later, he thought to himself.

    Finding nothing so far (after about minutes later), he decided to check his shell phone, sighing in relief when he saw a blinking red dot on the screen. "Thank goodness Mikey still has his phone on him," he said to himself as he hurried off in the dot's direction.

    Eventually, he arrived at an old warehouse, the flashing dot confirming that Mikey was there. Entering through one of the upper windows, he landed stealthy on the floor and looked around. "Mikey! Mikey, where are you?" he called.
