Chapter~39

"Where is Draco?" Pansy asked. Harry wasn't sure if he should lie or not. He was already adamant on answering the first question. As he wasn't sure if Draco had come out to Pansy yet. And while that might piss Harry off a little because Pansy was Draco's best friend, he himself still hadn't gotten around to telling Hermione. Though he was pretty sure she already knew, being the smartest girl in Hogwarts.

"I know where he is, but it's a secret," Harry stated. It wasn't as though he was lying. He just couldn't tell her everything without telling the others first. Pansy looked at him skeptically, "what are you? His boyfriend? I am his best friend and I need to know where he is." Harry looked at her a bit shocked, she had no idea how right she was. Not that it mattered though. "You ain't gonna get anything out of me, besides we have more pressing matters to attend to."

Pansy was about to retaliate when Kate spoke up, "Harry can you come comfort Mason, I need to go grab something from my dorm."

"Sure" he responded, Pansy though begrudgingly went with Kate to her dorm. And Harry sat on the bed with Mason. "Social Anxiety, right?" He questioned softly, Mason nodded. "To-to much s-sensory ove-erload," he hiccuped. Harry stroked his hair and rubbed small circles on his back. Mason's breathing became more steady. "I love you dad" he mumbled into Harry's chest. "I love you too mason" he responded, but he was pretty sure Mason didn't hear. As little snores were soon heard from the boy.

Harry gently laid him down and pull the covers over him. Pansy and Kate entered, the room and Harry put a finger up to his lips, pointing to the sleeping boy. They nodded. He and the girls stepped out of the room before speaking. "Thank you Harry, he really trusts you," Kate said. "It was no problem, though I hope you don't mind if I stay with him for the night." Kate nods, but Pansy says "tell me where Draco is."

"He will tell you himself in the morning, it's not my place to say," Harry responds. "Fine!" Pansy huffs before marching off like a pissed toddler. Kate watches Pansy and snickers. "A true Slytherin I see, well I hope you sleep well Kate," he says. "Yeah, you too. Oh and before I go uhhhhhh" she stutters, "can I have a hug?"

"Of course" Harry says, opening his arms wide, to have the small blond girl barrel into them. He squeezed her tight before letting go, "goodnight Kate"

"Goodnight D— Harry" she squeaks before rushing off toward her dorm. Harry went back to Draco's room and laid down on the couch. He didn't expect Draco to be back before morning, hopefully things went smoothly and they would talk it out over breakfast. Maybe get some strong tea for Draco while he was at it. Pretty confident that Draco would pull an all nighter. With those thoughts he was soon fast asleep, not quite aware of the oddities that were to come the next day.
