Draco was a bit miffed that Harry had paid him little mind. He was eager to find out why his instincts pointed to Harry, partly because at the moment his instincts were leading him up the corridor. Draco slightly annoyed kept walking until he finally slowed in front of the DADA classroom. Nobody was in lessons so why here?
"Expecto Patronum!" a voice spoke, Draco had almost jumped out of his breeches. Covering his mouth he peaked through the door. No one was in the classroom, but the office light was on. Draco battled with his thoughts. Whether to go and investigate or to ignore his gut. After a bit of dark side, light side disagreement he chose to check it out.
As silently as he could he tip toed across the room. The floor creaked and he stopped frozen, looking at the door. After about a minute, nobody had come so he continued. Draco weaved by the desks and over the books. He made his way up the small flight of stairs. Peaking through the door he saw a large office decorated in different magic tools and Knick knacks. Occupying the study were two individuals, Harry and Professor Lupin. Harry had his wand in hand and Lupin was standing at a chest which was violently shaking. What ever was in there wasn't friendly.
Lupin opened the chest, to which Draco almost gasped in horror. A swirling, morphing thing arose. It saw Harry and turned into a Dementor. Draco's eyes widened as the creature glided toward Harry. The boy looked to be calm and collected. Wand raised, eyes closed, a creased brow all unmoving. Then Harry's eyes opened. "Expecto Patronum!" He chanted. A white mist forming at the end of his wand. It grew and grew until the mist resembled, a deer?
Draco sat at the door, staring at his hand. There was no way. Draco looked again seeing Harry sitting one pant leg scrunched up showing a yellow and purple snake winding up his leg. Draco clutched his shirt. He was soulmates with the one and only chosen one. He needed to think, he needed to breathe too. Shakily, he stood and made his was back through the classroom and out the door. Not knowing quite where to go to calm himself he went up the stairs.
He saw a familiar face on the way up however that stopped him in his tracks. It was Sarah holding all her worn belongings and a teddy bear. "Hello Draco,"
"Hello Sarah, how are you?" He asked. "I am good thank you," she smiled "oh by the way here" she said handing him the bear "it's for you, I made it."
"Thank you, that was kind of you"
"No problem see you later Draco," she called walking down the stairs.
Eventually he made it to the astronomy tower. The stars sparkled against the night sky like the smiles given by thousands of small children, shear joy shining through. He sat, he thought and he gazed. Had he always known? Those sparkly green eyes were looking at him, trying to understand. His laugh making the others stomach tie itself in knots. The boy and girl who seemed to know everything about them. It made sense.
He hugged the bear which was the regular brown with a bit of green detailing. Suddenly he heard steps, "who's there?" He shouted turning toward the noise, ready to grab his wand.
