Chapter~17

Harry followed Draco out of the hall only stopping outside of it. "What do you want Malfoy?" He asked, the blond scoffed, "don't ask me, why were you staring at me?" Harry's cheeks flushed slightly. "You were staring too," he managed. Draco began to angrily rant to Harry about all the things he had done to piss him off. He expressively waved his hands to emphasize his words, that's when Harry noticed a tattoo on Draco's hand. A deers head, how odd did his soulmate like deer.

At this point Harry had completely tuned out Draco. "Potter! Potter! Harry!" He snapped back to reality. "I am sorry what was that?" He questioned, Draco groaned "oh never mind your to big of a dunce to understand anyway". Draco turned on his heal and left leaving a very confused Harry. After about a minute of standing there, he realized he had a meeting with Professor Lupin. He picked himself up and booked it to the DADA classroom.

When he arrived, he saw Lupin standing at the top of the small staircase on the right side of the classroom, which was dark and empty, a couple books left strewn across the room. "Harry would you please follow me into my office," Harry quickly agreed following the Teacher into his study. Harry liked all of the random magical items placed on the shelves leading up to Professor Lupins desk. "So Harry, you wanted to learn how to protect yourself from the thing that attacked you on the train, correct?"

"Yes" he replied. "Well then today I will be teaching you the Patronus charm".

"Was that the spell you did on the train?"

"Yes," he said "Now to teach you how to cast it, we won't be using an actual dementor, for they are far to dangerous".

"So how will I practice?" He questioned. Then Harry saw the shaking chest on the floor. "Is that..."

"Yes Harry that is a boggart, what you will be using to train," Harry nodded. Lupin continued telling him about casting the Charm. He told him to think of his most happy memory to form the power behind his spell. The first memory wasn't strong enough. His next memory, he wasn't even sure was a memory. It was his mother father and him just talking, I made Harry happy even though it may have been a dream.

He cast the spell "Expecto Patronum!" He chanted pointing his wand at the transformed boggart. A white glowing mist erupted from the tip of the wand. Harry pushed the boggart back into the chest. Lupin was ready and closed the lid. "Well done Harry, have some chocolate," Lupin offered. Harry took a bite, the Professor happy he had learned so quickly, but worried about his eagerness to do more.

He let Harry have one more go. The Professor opened the chest, releasing the boggart. Harry thought of his happiest memory, focusing on it before yelling the chant. "Expecto Patronum!" This time instead of a glowing mist, a glowing animal galloped out the tip of his wand. It was a deer. There was something amazing about the deer or stag as Lupin called it. He didn't know why it interested his so much until he remembered the tattoo on Draco's hand. At this time all of Harry's clues had pointed to Draco, subconsciously Harry had always known but this confirmed it.

Draco was his soulmate, he had to be.
