Chapter~36

What a strange day Draco had experienced so far. First they find out that the good, all powerful Dumbledore was evil and then Sirius black turned out to be a dog. Oh and on top of all that he was Harry's godfather. He just blatantly accepted that fact and moved on rather quickly. Not even the slightest bit worried that Sirius might have feigned his innocence. Sirius had even begun to aid in the observations of the documents which numbered about 20. They were trying to find patterns for the people. Sirius knew more people which helped them find a couple of people who connected.

The most startling discovery was that Tom Riddle wasn't Voldemort and the documents instead suggested that Dumbledore was. So essentially the real Tom Riddle was either dead or not in good shape, Pettigrew was scurrying around doing Dumbledore's dirty work and the dark lord was just a persona created to justify his evil deeds. Or at least that's the story they had come up with.

Sirius sighed "What a conflicting world we live, the evil are innocent and vise versa. We need to get some kind of proof for all allegations or else our claims are baseless." Sirius frowned and turned to him. "What do you think Draco, what's our next step?"

"Well I think that based on our assumptions Peter Pettigrew is running around doing Dumbleducks bidding, so we should find him first. Do you know what he might be disguised as Sirius?" Draco asked. "A rat, back when we went here we all became Animagus to help Moony or as you know him Professor Lupin during the full moon. Pettigrew was a rat."

"Ron has a rat, a really old rat, you don't think?" Harry thought aloud. "I actually do think you're right, I was investigating your friend before I injured myself." Sirius explained, Draco nodded "That seems to fit so how are we gonna capture him? If we don't have a way to find him we won't be able to catch him."

"He sometimes sleeps by Ron's bed. I can try to capture him there," Harry suggested. "I think it's better if you let me do it Harry, wouldn't want him biting you, it's better if I do because if your friend wakes up he'll report it and we can see if it gets a rise out of Dumbledore."

"Yes, yes so when shall we enact this plan" Draco asked and with that the date was decided. Two days from then they would execute their plan. Over the next couple days Harry had reported to Draco that he had precisely filled in the holes that a rat could escape through in the dorm room, so escape was virtually impossible. Next, they went to Lupin and tried to explain in the most discreet way where to meet them if he wanted to know the truth. Lupin caught on and met him in a room called the room of requirement, with Sirius and told him everything. Lupin quickly believed them and Sirius finally revealed himself to the man, who was overjoyed to see him.

The day was finally here time to execute their plan.
