Draco awoke warm and happy, hands running through his hair and a gentle breath on his neck. He basked in the comfort. Opening his eyes he saw Harry. "I see your finally awake ferret"

"Good morning to you to scarhead," Draco replied sarcastically. Harry stood up holding out a hand to Draco who shivered at the loss of warmth. Draco took his hand and heaved himself up. "Hey Harry,"

"Yeah Draco?"

"What brought you up here last night?"

"I was thinking hard about life is all," Harry responded. "Do you want to talk about it?" Draco asked, truthfully just wanting to know if his soulmate was ok. "Sure, how about over coffee," Harry offered. "Sounds great," Draco agreed. They went to the great hall to retrieve the coffee since Harry didn't have permission to go to Hogsmede. Most of the students weren't there, many at Hogsmede enjoying the holiday festivities and hanging with friends. He and Harry began their conversation. Harry told him how he was growing suspicious of Dumbledore, a man he originally trusted. His suspicion being backed with the fact that Harry was not treated well at his so-called home. Dumbledore had done nothing to make it better, even after Harry's desprete cries for help.

This shocked Draco because while he didnt like the headmaster, he didnt think the man was an awful person. He now loathed the man, a supposed protector who couldn't help a child from being abused by his own family. Harry was right, there was something wrong. A situation that was playing out in the background somewhere. Dumbledore's absence from the school after the first week of the term did not go unnoticed by him or Harry. Did this have something to do with Sirius Black on the loose? Harry had wondered the same thing adding that it could be a distraction of the headmaster's disappearance. As they talked more and more, theorizing about it. They became increasingly curious and worried.

As a result of their worry they began to form a plan. A plan to find out what the Headmaster had been up to. It was pretty simple, sneak into Dumbledore's office. The only problem being the password, Harry couldn't be sure it was the same as the last time he went. It was still worth a go though. Later that day they went up to the statue. "Lemondrop," Harry whispered. The statue didnt budge. This left them with a couple options, guess based on what they knew about the man or wait for one of the other teachers to feed fawkes, and go in behind them with the invisibility cloak. The latter seemed like the better choice. So, they waited and waited and waited until finally Professer Sprout went up to the statue and said "Beans", the spiral staircase swirling down.

Draco and Harry who were under the cloak got up and followed the Professer. They always kept one step behind her incase she stopped. At the top of the stairs she opened the door which they barely managed to get through before it shut. "Hello fawkes," said Professer Sprout "I feel bad I can't take you outside to fly around, it must be so cramped in here. I will try my best to keep you company." Draco and Harry watched smiling Professer Sprout had to be one of the nicest people on the planet.

After she left, door shutting behind her they shed the cloak. Harry went up to Fawkes and stroked his feathers, Fawkes in return screeched happily. Draco went to the desk. Opening drawers and shuffling through files, when he caught a glimpse of something. He pulled out a blue file folder. He opened it slowly and gasped...
