"Why in Merlin is that Gryffindor boy's face on my back!" Draco thought alarmed. He would definitely need to ask Kate's advice later. He quicken his pace and was out the door. He wasn't willing to be late to his class. He jogged through the halls. He had Potions and he wasn't going to be scolded by his godfather, not today. As he burst through the door he bumped into a girl who fell. "Oh I am so sorry, I didn't see you" he stated kneeling down to help the girl pick up her belongings. Her books were old and worn.
He saw her bag and uniform were also old. She must have not had enough funds for new supplies. "I am sorry" she mumbled looking over at him. She had almost white blond hair and blue eyes. She looked as though she hadn't been nourished properly. "What's you name?" He questioned putting out his hand to help her up. She gladly accepted replying "I am Sarah, nice to meet you"
"Now as much as I love seeing my nephew make friends, my class isn't the place for it" Severus stated startling both of them, "now to your seats so we can begin." Draco sat glancing at Sarah, her tie was Gryffindor colors that's why they hadn't met before. He mentally slapped himself for being such an idiot. The class continued and was pretty normal. The occasional explosion and the confused mumble of students meant everyone was sane still. The chaos was rather comforting.
When the class ended he left the classroom and bumped into another person, this person could actually stand there ground without tripping. "I am sorr—" he started as Harry Potter turned and looked at him. They both just stood there frozen, neither not quite sure how to proceed. "Um," Draco mumbled breaking the silence. "Sorry" he scrambled away. Once he was far enough away he realized he went the wrong way.
A couple classes and a lot of running later it was lunch time. Draco gladly sat as food appeared. Kate came and sat next to him. He had grown accustomed to her presence. "How have classes been for you today?" He questioned. "Pretty good" she answered, "what about you?"
"I have had to jog to half of my classes because of awkward situations that keep coming up." He looked over at her and then remembered, "hey Kate I got a new tattoo this morning... It's a tattoo of your Gryffindor friend," He said. "That's really weird, he must be clue to who your soulmate is, I will talk to him about it later." He thanked her and began to eat, man today had been exhausting so far what was next.
