Draco was by his fireplace, trunk packed and robes on. He anxiously waited for his mother to come and accompany him to the station. Narcissa walked into the room in her green satan dress that beautifully matched her dark chocolate hair, holding her hand purse she strode towards Draco. "You look beautiful, mom"

"Thank you dear, now we must get going if you don't want to miss the train" she said, dumping some floo powder into his hand. "Kings Cross platform 9 and 3/4" he stated throwing the powder, feeling his body dissolve into warm air and slow reforming on the platform. His mother followed closely behind appearing next to him.

He gave his trunk to the luggage man loading the students belongings into the train. He gave his mom a quick kiss and a goodbye before running to catch up with Pansy, Blaise, Greg, and Goyle. His friends patiently waiting for him to catch up. "Why are you so late Mr.Prim and Proper"Pansy nagged shoving him affectionately in the shoulder. He smirked "well I'm sorry isn't it proper to wait for my mother" he rolled his eyes at Pansy "oh wait you wouldn't know that your neither prim, nor proper."

"Ooo burn Pansy" Blaise patted him on the back "that was a good one Draco"

"I have been working on my sarcasm to get you back for all the times you made fun of me last year" he claimed grinning. "Good because you'll need it, who says I am going to stop making fun of you" Pansy pointed out. Draco grumbles defeated. As he continued to walk a fleck of green passed his view, unsure of what it was he turned to look for it.

What he found were the eyes of Harry Potter. He was surprised he had never noticed that his eyes were such a bright color. He remembered that he was staring and quickly turned away trying to hide the fact that he had just gazed at his enemy's eyes with Harry doing the same. The staring contest had started and ended almost as soon as it begun.

The gesture had confused Draco a great deal because never before had he even considered the boy's eyes beautiful. Suddenly this year he saw the emerald eyes as flowing pastures and graceful snakes. What was wrong with him? His focus was never quite on his friend conversations after that for his head was in his thought. His thoughts about the boy who lived.
