Draco followed Kate out of the hall and headed towards potions with blinding speed. He did not want to be at the bad end of his godfather's scolding, Snape was ruthless. He could make you feel stupid even if he knew you were smart. Again he had potions with the Gryffindors. Another year for them, hundreds of house points lost. Draco almost felt sorry for them.

He walked into the classroom finding Pansy had already arrived. He sat next to her. "Did you show Kate to her class?" He inquired. "No I had Blaise do it, his class is closer to hers," She responded. He nodded watching more students arrive. The golden trio arrived just on time racing to their seats.

The only open seats was a pair of seats and the seat next to him. Harry rushed to the seat right next to him. Snape entered the class with his usual cold expression. "I see you all decided to show up on time, how lovely. Well seeing as it's a new year I ask that you read the instructions and don't be brick heads...yes I am talking to you Finnegan, Potter. Now that that's out of the way let's begin class".

Snape began the lesson telling them what ingredients they needed and how to mix them. Draco already knew how to brew this potion and decided to see how they would be partnered. He counted by 2s for each pair of people. "Oh well, it looks like I will have to put up with Potter" he thought. Draco looked over at Harry to see him writing notes in his Notebook.

Snape pointed out partners and told everyone to get to work. From how it looked Harry had to register that he was partnered to to him. He ended up grumbling and getting supplies. To Draco's delight he brought all the right ingredients. "Well done Potter, looks like you were paying attention this time".

"Oh give it a rest Malfoy"

"What it was a compliment" he replied in a snarky tone. "A compliment from you, ha... how about when pigs fly"

"I can make that happen", Harry turned to him with a look of awe. "Really can you show me?" Draco had to pinch his nose to contain his laughter, Harry was so cute, a puppy who wanted a treat. They continued their work, Draco not even flinching at the fact he thought Harry to be cute.

After class as he was walking out, Pansy said something. "You have a new word, Draco. It says childish on the back of your neck."

"Kinda like Potter," he thought. There was no way that was true though.
