Chapter 4: Hogsmeade

A/N: This is a time jump to the weekend before Halloween and the first trip to Hogsmeade.

It's Saturday, October 26.

"Noah, wake up! I need your help picking out an outfit for Merlin's sake!" Abby told me urgently as if we didn't have another three hours to get ready.

"Bloody hell, what happened in here?" I said looking around the room. There were clothes thrown everywhere literally everywhere. Then I saw Abby. I could tell she was really nervous about her date this afternoon.

"Okay, fine." I said jokingly, "If I help pick out the outfit, you can clean up the mess."
"Okay! Now can you help me, please?!" She asked with a laugh.

"What about this?" I asked her as I held up a pair of dark blue jeans and a navy blue sweater.

As Abby left to go change I pulled put my wand and with the flick of my wrist all of her clothes neatly tucked themselves away inside of the wardrobe. Then, I got dressed into my own outfit and waited for the twins in the common room.

If I'm being honest, I haven't been able to stop thinking about George, no matter how hard I tried to. I like him, like a lot. But he's my bestfriend other than Abby and he'll never like me back so I decided not to say anything to anyone.

Soon, the twins arrived in the common room. Fred had a piece of parchment in his hand.

"You ready to go?" I asked them.

We crawled through the portrait hole and went down to the courtyard to meet Professor McGonagall.

In the courtyard everyone was gathered near the professor while the remaining students handed in their permission forms.

We were walking down the dirt path and I could finally see the village up ahead.

"So," I started. "Where are we going first?"

"Our brother, Charlie, told us that there is a joke shop called Zonko's. I think we should go there first-" Fred started.

"Maybe stock up on supplies, and then we could go to the Three Broomsticks for a butterbeer." George finished.

"Sounds like a plan." I said with a hint of excitement in my voice.

Soon enough, we saw a sign on a building with the words Zonko's Joke Shop in big letters.

While inside we purchased dungbombs and hiccough sweets , which we planned to use on the first and second years.

Just before we went to the Three Broomsticks we decided to stop by Honeydukes to buy chocolate frogs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, jelly slugs, and acid pops.

By now, all three of us were freezing and ready to go back to the castle but we really wanted to get a butterbeer before we left so that's what we did.

Purchases in hand we left Honeydukes and walked down to the small building with a sign that read The Three Broomsticks.

Once we were inside Fred, George, and I went to find a table and ended up sitting in a booth near the back.

"I'll be right back," I told them as I left to get our drinks.

"Three butter beers please." I told the woman behind the counter politely. She didn't respond, but instead turned around and pulled out three mugs and filled them.

"Here you go. That'll be six sickles." She told me with a smile.

I handed her my money and thanked her then walked back to my table.

After talking and drinking our butterbeer we left the small pub and headed back to the castle.

I just entered my dorm when I noticed Abby cleaning the dorm, she usually did that when she was upset but she didn't seem like she was upset.

"Hey, Abby." I said cautiously.

"Oh, hi Noah." She greeted happily.

"How did your date with Cedric go?" I asked.

"It went well," she started. "But we realized about halfway through the date that it wasn't going to work out, so we decided to just stay friends."

"Oh, okay. Well I think I'm just going to take a nap until dinner then. Goodnight. Oh and of I'm not up don't bother waking me." I said before she left the room.

Not long after I drifted off to sleep, and by the time I woke up it was 6:30 in the morning.
