5 October 1996.
It was the first Saturday of October, which meant we were going to Hogsmeade for the first time this year. I got up and took a shower, before going down to the common room and meeting with Fred and George. I took George's hand in mine and the three of us walked side by side down to Hogsmeade.
Our first stop was the Three Broom Sticks. We went inside and found a booth to sit at.
"Butterbeer?" I asked the twins.
"Yes, please." They said in unison, they did that a lot. I left the booth and walked over to the bar. "Three butterbeers, please." The woman at the bar turned around and began pouring the Butterbeer into the mugs.
"That'll be six sickles." I handed the woman the money and took the three mugs back to the booth. I set a mug in front of each of the twins before sitting down and drinking my own. After we were done drinking our butterbeer, we left the pub and walked down the streets of Hogsmeade. We made our way to Honeydukes Sweet Shop and walked inside. We began browsing the shelves when someone came up behind us. The person started talking to whoever was standing next to her.
"You know what I heard," it was Abby. I tried to ignore her. "I hear that Noah is only getting married because she's pregnant." I turned around at this.
"Shut the fuck up, Abby," I said angrily.
"Well, someone's being defensive. Does that mean it's true?"
"First of all, if I was pregnant, I wouldn't be getting married in August, make it make sense. Second of all, I wouldn't be talking shit about other people 'cause I have a lot of shit on you, and look at where your boyfriend is now." I pointed to Aiden, who was making out with another girl in the corner. I knew that he and Abby hadn't broken up, because I had seen them together just five minutes before. She looked over at her boyfriend, before looking back at me and running to where Aiden was with the other girl. Fred and George laughed at the girl who was angrily storming toward her boyfriend.
I went back to picking out the candy that I wanted while being as quiet as a mouse.
"What's wrong, you just won that," Fred said to me with a smile on his face.
"People are talking about me. I don't even know why I'm mad, people talk about us all the time."
"It's because the rumor gives you a bad reputation. Which you don't deserve. But it doesn't matter, because you know that it's not true," George said.
"I know that. I just don't want that kind of energy at our wedding. That's part of the reason I'm not inviting my mother." We purchased our items and walked out of the shop. We walked for a bit before I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to see a girl my age.
"Hi, my name is Jade, and I just wanted to let you know that I overheard what just happened, and I wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for my sister's behavior. And also, she just made that up, no one else has heard that you are pregnant. Not saying that you are. 'Cause you're not."
"That's your sister! She never told me she had a sister."
"Yeah, we're twins, I never told anyone, because quite honestly we both think that the other is extremely embarrassing."
"How come, I don't recognize you?"
"I usually keep my head low. The teachers never talked about me because I never got good grades, but I never did anything to get in trouble, and I stay quiet, I watch from the sidelines."
"You know what, me and you are friends now and you're invited to my wedding. Want to go to Zonko's with us?"
"Sure, can I bring someone?"
