Back is back

Y/n's POV-

I was thankful the school day moved semi fast after English, in gym Emmett, Bella, and I sat out on the bleachers while Renesmee played dodge ball.

I was thankful when i could finally go home, Emmett told Bella he had to pick up his car from my apartment.

She offered to drive him, obviously not wanting Emmett to be alone with me for long.

When she refused she just fake smiled and walked away wrapping her arm around Renesmee as they walked away from us.

Emmett and I walked to my car I unlocked the doors but then froze at the sudden feeling in my heart, it was like a pulling pain.

I looked around but then my eyes locked with the vegetarian eyes of a vampire.

He hasn't changed, his hair was still how it was when I saw him last. I don't know why I thought he'd change?

We stared into each other's eyes from a far, playing a silent game on chicken. Edward broke his gaze at the sudden arms wrapped around him.

He looked down and gave his 'daughter' a hug.

I quickly took this time to get in my car and drive away as fast as i could.

As we were leaving the parking lot a loud skid came from my back tires as i made the turn towards my apartment.

"What's with the rush, i do believe you nearly ran over Tom C while we were leaving" Emmett stated looking back at the school parking lot that was only getting smaller and smaller.

"Tom C will get over it!" I snapped as i continued to turn corners like a mad man.

"That doesn't matter, what i want to know is why are driving like this in the middle of the day, when people can see you?" Emmett asked looking forward again.

"Because i can Emmett, because I couldn't bare the thought of watching my mate be lied to while I'm here depressed and wanting my mates attention" i explained as i tried to calm myself down.

"Y/n its okay to feel upset, trust me though... Edward misses you and as soon as he finds out the truth he will come running back to you happily" Emmett stated as we pulled up to a red light.

"What happens if he doesn't believe us?" I asked looking at Emmett, i could imagine the tears rolling down my face if my tear ducts still worked.

The emotion i felt was unreal and heart breaking, i felt horrible.

"It'd be hard to deny his whole family telling him the same thing Y/n" Emmett stated.

"Emmett, Edward will rather believe we're lying to him then believe that Bella lied to him about being a father, it's what he's always wanted"i stated as the light turned green.

I started driving again and all i could hear was the engine and the tires against the road.

"Edward probably already knows deep down that Renesmee isn't his, he just doesn't want to believe it because this is the first time in god knows how many years he's had a chance to be at least semi normal, to be a father, to be happy and i really don't want to be the reason behind my mate not being happy" I stated as we pulled into the parking lot of my apartment building.

"Edward might like the idea of Renesmee being his daughter but i believe he oiled much rather have his mate by his side again" Emmett stated looking straight at me.

"I just don't know what's the right thing to do" I stated looking back at Emmett.

"We give him all the fact and then let him decide what's the right thing to do" Emmett stated smiling kindly at me.
