Trapped

When I woke up I was in a car. I wasn't blindfolded, but my hands were tied. I was trapped. My memory was a bit hazy, but I knew that this man had kidnapped me. He was taking me somewhere far. I didn't know where we were going, but I felt hopeless. The immediate feeling of sadness and lost hope was killing me. I had to come up with a plan.

Eventually, we reached our destination and the man pulled me out of the car. He blindfolded me and led me into some room. It looked like a prison cell and all there was, was a single bed and a lamp. The door was shut and the man said "Sleep tight princess" before slamming the door and leaving me in darkness.

I immediately turned on the light and searched for my phone. I was feeling light-headed and very dehydrated. My head was spinning and all I felt like doing was falling asleep on that cold hard bed. But I couldn't. I had to come up with a plan. My phone was no longer with me. "He must've taken it!" I thought while kicking the wall. I was still in my dress and heels which managed to irritate me even more. I was in no state to be this dressed up.

I looked around and noticed a small hole in the wall. It wasn't much and was probably the only source of ventilation this hot little cell was getting.

My goal was to see if I could see anything through it. I pushed the bed over to the side by the slit. This wasn't hard because the "bed" was just some wire with an old mattress thrown atop it. I climbed onto it hoping it would support my weight. I peered through the hole and saw that I was near water. I could hear the waves and see lights in the darkness. That information wasn't very helpful though and it made me even angrier. I grabbed the stupid mattress off the wire frame and threw it to the ground. I was close to breaking the lamp too, but that was the only thing supplying me light. I was going to kill this fool for leaving me like this!

That's when my thoughts hit me. Maddox must've noticed my disappearance by now. It was probably chaotic back home. Hopefully they would find me. I had very little hope in that happening, but that little chance kept me going. They had to find me. Maddox was in the FBI and he probably alerted Mellissa by now. She was probably looking for me and the longer I stayed in one area, the higher the chance of her finding me would be.

My only concern was that if this "criminal" was really as smart as he is supposed to be he would definitely know that keeping me here for a long time would result in a catastrophe. There is no way that he would risk losing me by making such an amateur mistake. This man did not look like someone who took risks.

After some time I decided that if I was going to have any chance of fighting this man or even escaping I would need some sleep. I wouldn't be able to fight a high profile criminal by just staring at a brick wall all night. It was critical that I got to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of the door opening. "Wake up. Since I am not supposed to kill you yet I have to give you some food to ensure you stay alive. Your father wouldn't be happy that I killed his daughter. Even though that would be so much easier than having to deal with you" the man said while placing a plate of disgusting-looking food on the ground.

"That looks awful" I responded quite annoyed.

"Careful or I just might forget to bring you food ever again and let you rot in this cell" the man warned.

I rolled my eye and said "I dare you to. It's better than having to see that bastard I have as a father!"

The man laughed and said "He was so happy to find out you had been captured. He's got some issues with his new presidency and being banned from the U.K, but he'll figure it out by tomorrow. Thank god I only have to babysit you for another day."

"Of course he's the president now. It doesn't surprise me. That man is crazy and manipulative." I said.

"And you're annoying and crazy so get used to it!" the man yelled before slamming the cell door.

"Damn" I thought to myself. "That was rude"

I spent the next few hours dying of boredom. That was until the man walked in again. "Change of plans. Your father wants me to show you this special message" he said hiding a smirk.

He slipped an old phone through the door and said "Watch the video"

I decided to obey and pressed play.
