Heather

This was exactly what I needed, after almost two weeks of feeling beat-down and like I couldn't relax I had all of my friends with me and everyone seemed to be having so much fun.

It was mildly stressful being a host, I was always worried something would go wrong, but it seemed to be going well. Drama was always unescapable, no matter what. That I couldn't change, but stuff like locking the bedrooms I could.

This is why I liked going to Taylor's, I could just have fun instead of worry and think about everything. I wanted to spend the night with Josh, but I had to keep going around, letting people in, looking for anything that might have gone wrong.

I was in the middle of that now when I was walking past my living room. That was pumping like I couldn't believe, everyone was dancing and jumping, screaming along to the songs. It made me happy though, I liked that everyone seemed to be having fun.

I wasn't even drinking, I didn't feel the need and I knew if I really wanted to get messed up I could once the party started winding down.

I walk to the garage and open the fridge in there getting out two of the trays of Jell-o shots I had in there. There were more but I could only carry so many.

I walk back through the party, everyone grabbing a couple off the trays and passing them to their friends. I'm sure this place would be an absolute mess tomorrow, but I'd deal with it then.

Taylor comes walking over, looking flustered. "Give me one of those." She says, pulling one off the tray and eating it before immediately taking another.

"You good?" I ask and she nods eating another one.

Taylor never ever got drunk, she wouldn't have anyone believe she was capable of losing control. This wasn't like her, I never saw her have more than two or maybe three social drinks.

"Hey, there's a lot of sugar in those. Slow down." I warn and she rolls her eyes. "It'll make you puke." I tell her and she sighs, finally stopping and setting the empty little cups on a nearby table. "What's up?"

"Nothing." She sighs, running her fingers through her hair.

"Are you sure?" I ask and she nods, but I could tell it was bullshit. She just didn't want to tell me what was bothering her.

"How many girls with no personality did you invite to this party?" She asks in an accusatory tone and I furrow my eyebrows. She looks away and I follow her eyes to see Noah chatting with a sophomore in the kitchen. She was twirling her hair around her finger and laughing when he'd tell her something.

"I mean really, they're all.....annoying and stupid-"

"Is this about Noah?" I ask and she narrows her eyes.

"No, why the fuck would it be about Noah?" She asks angrily. That escalated fast, when Taylor got angry, it usually meant that she didn't like something that was happening that she......couldn't control.

Did Taylor like Noah?

That seemed completely impossible, two people couldn't be more like night and day. Even if she did she'd never tell him, she'd be too afraid of getting rejected or made fun of. Taylor was used to guys chasing her, Noah wouldn't dare chase anyone.

"You were looking at him when you said that." I defend. "And it looks like he's talking to one of those 'annoying girls with no personality' now." I point out and she rolls her eyes.

"Heather really? That's the most insane thing I've ever heard you suggest." She scoffs. "I mean really? Noah? Ew, I was just commenting on the trashy girls here." She insists, flipping her hair over her shoulder. She starts to walk away but pauses, eating another cup of Jell-o and taking two more for the road.
