Heather
This can't be happening, I was really hoping to keep all of this from Zeke. Given the fact that just a few days ago he was prepared to sabotage the musical and ruin the theatre kids. I knew he also got jealous and territorial way too easily over me, he wasn't going to be alright with this at all.
He walks me out to his motorcycle without another word and tosses the helmet back to me.
"Get on." He huffs and I gulp. I didn't like riding with him like this, it got way too scary. But I didn't want to fight with him right now.
I hadn't spoken to him all weekend, I got a ride to school with a friend today and I knew he was pissed. But I was pissed at him, I wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for him. He abandoned me and I wasn't going to forgive him for it anytime soon.
He drives me to my house quickly through the gated entrance and up my street. The second the bike stops in my driveway I get off tossing the helmet away and quickly getting to my front door.
"Hey!" He yells and I roll my eyes, marching through the door without waiting a single second. It nearly shuts but he manages to catch it just in time. So it works for him and not for me?
"I'm not done with you yet, Heather!" He yells and I turn on my heels staring him down as he stomps over to me.
"Well I'm done with you for today." I tell him angrily, crossing my arms. "Get lost."
"Oh I don't think so." He says shaking his head. "Where the hell have you been all weekend?"
"Not with you, obviously." I huff and he rolls his eyes.
"Fuck, I'm sorry Heather, alright! I called you all weekend to tell you I'm sorry-"
"Sorry doesn't cut it this time!" I scream. "Not even close, they were going to expel me, Zeke!"
"I didn't mean to leave you behind, you know I never would have!" He yells back and I roll my eyes.
"So then why did you?" I ask angrily. "When you noticed I wasn't there, why didn't you come back for me?" I ask and he walks away, angrily, like he can't even listen to what I'm saying. "If we're together and if I mean as much to you as you say I do, why would you let me face all of that alone?"
"Heather, just fucking listen to me!" He yells back and I pull back, feeling uncomfortable. "I can't take another suspension, they would have to expel me!" He insists and I cross my arms. "Once I realized you weren't there, there wasn't time! A firetruck was already at the school-"
"Oh fuck you." I spit. "I would have gone back for you, this wasn't even my prank and I ended up being the only one responsible for it."
"Spare me Heather." He says, in a dangerous tone. "I get that you're pissed but why in the hell are you in the musical?!" He asks and I feel my rage boil over.
"Why?!" I scream and he almost looks taken aback that I'd raised my voice like that. "Do you want to know why I've decided to join the fucking musical?" I exclaim, throwing my book bag on the living room couch. "Because it's the only thing I could do to avoid getting punished!"
"What?" He asks and I start to laugh in sheer frustration.
"That was the agreement I made with the school, I had to join the school production. Otherwise they were going to expel or suspend me." I mumble, crossing my arms.
"They can't just blackmail you like that." He says, sounding disgusted.
"They most certainly can." I insist. "If I don't do this, then I won't get to go to the colleges I want, my academics would be ruined. And this way, my dad doesn't have to know." I tell him, meaning it. I didn't want my dad to know about the prank gone wrong. "The least you could do is not look at me like I've been diagnosed with cancer." I huff, putting my hands on my hips.
