Heather

Well that was the best mistake I've ever made. I've been wanting to do that for weeks, actually show romantic feelings for Josh at school. We were bad at hiding them but still nobody seemed to be catching on. Until now.

I knew it was a risky move, but that bitch wouldn't leave him alone. Josh was with me, I needed her to know that he wasn't there for the taking. I don't know if anyone really noticed, I wasn't super close with the people around us at the time and two people at a party isn't exactly a new concept.

"Heather!" Julia says as we walk into the kitchen. She pulls me away from Josh and then lowers her voice. "Did you just kiss Josh?" She asks and I nod, trying to keep my tone light.

"Yeah." I shrug.

"What do you mean 'yeah'? Isn't that a big deal, I thought you liked him-"

"Jules we kiss all the time for this show, that Tiffany girl wouldn't leave him alone, so I kissed him to get her to back-off." I quickly explain.

"When are you going to date?" She whines. "I know you like him, why would you kiss him? Doesn't it bother you to kiss and not act on it?"

"Not really." I shrug. "Jules you need to relax......where exactly did you heart that from?"

"I don't know, there's a picture getting sent around. I heard someone talking about it." She admits and I sigh.

"Great." I mumble and she sighs. "It's not the end of the world I guess."

"Well I guess I got all excited over nothing." She mumbles. "I was just hoping that something new had started."

"Not yet, but I promise I'll keep you updated." I say and she smiles as I lean in for a hug.

"It's really hard to hug you in those damn wings." She says and I laugh. "You guys are so cute, I didn't think you'd have matching costumes." I laugh a bit at that and nod.

"It was a last minute choice." I mumble. "You and Hayden are adorable."

Julia had somehow convinced him to go as Peter Pan while she was dressed up as Tinkerbell. He was really good to her, he and Josh were talking now.

"You're not drunk at all, let's do a shot!" She insists and I smile as she goes to find a bottle of hard stuff. She brings back vodka and sets it down with four shot glasses. "Everyone has to do at least one, let's go."

"Babe, you couldn't pick something else?" Hayden whines and she laughs.

"This all that was there, now let's go." She insists, pouring out four shots. Josh takes his and pretends to gag before we drink them. I laugh a bit and Julia smiles. "One, two, three!" She calls and we all tap them together, drinking them down. I wince a bit but get over it quickly, Julia drinks it with no issues. Josh and Hayden are coughing and hissing like Julia had given them each a glass of poison instead.

"I'm good, you good?" She asks and I nod, setting the glass back down for a refill. Josh and Hayden aren't having it, choosing to open beers instead. I only do a second and then I tap out choosing to drink a beer instead. I was getting that tingly feeling and I had to stop with the hard stuff before I went over the edge.

I felt pretty good now, I was happily out of it. I found I could control myself much better when I drank versus smoking weed. I only had about an hour until Eleanor came back for us and I wanted to make as much of it as possible. I grab Josh and bring him to the dance space, it was set up in the other living space. All the furniture had been cleared out and the music blasted.
