Having to deal with her siblings on the Friday night in a way exhausted Tana. She found that they loved to talk about themselves and yet, did not take mind to let her have a chance to speak, or to even ask how she was doing. While they may physically ask the question, they did not give her much of a chance to answer. It left her feeling miserable, lonely and angry, because she felt like nobody actually cared about her. Saturday, Tana sat before her computer doing some studies. She was sad and found she could not focus very well and so when a text notice came through, Tana let out a sigh and went to her phone to check whom it was.

>Hey Tana, it is Jason. I know you did not physically give me your number, but I just thought I would check in on you. Hope all is well.
Hey Jason. I wish you had asked first.
>I am sorry. I know, totally privacy breach here.
Still, thank you.... For checking up on me. I am ok. I hope you have had a good week. Not too much hard stuff at work to deal with.
>Work has been ok, it has in fact been keeping me busy. I was thinking about you today.
Me?
>Yes
Why?
>Because I enjoyed the company the other weekend at the shops and something a friend said made me think about it, and I thought it would be good to maybe... catch up again some time soon.
Oh. It sounds nice, but I will have to let you know when you have a day in mind. I have been quite busy recently. I got a small promotion at work so I have been focusing on that.
>Hey! That is great news. I am pleased to hear. Have you stepped up and told your boss the way he acts is not right?
I think he already knows it. I am working on it. It has been a tough week, but I am just taking it easy this weekend. How about you?
>I am working this weekend. A couple of surgeries to do.
Ok. I hope they go well.
>Thank you Tana...

Their texting ended, and Tana smiled a little. While she was not too keen he had grabbed her number from the files as such, she was kind of glad he had messaged and given her that distraction from her thoughts. She thought back to the shopping trip and smiled, thinking in all, it had been a good day and if there was another chance, then maybe she would catch up again. She was not normally one to go out and meet people, but she felt it was different with Jason.

Tana continued studying, taking notes down on paper as she went, thinking they were good points she could use in her own situation, with the boss, when she was ready to confront him. She found herself pleasantly surprised how well she was picking up on things and how quick she was coming to terms with finding the laws in relation to a situation, as was the task she was working on. Yet, she had to stop again, with her phone ringing this time.

"Hello, Tana speaking." She spoke without looking.
"What, you don't have my number saved?' her mothers voice asked.
"Sorry, I did not look at the name." Tana explained knowing she was not going to enjoy the call.
"Well, I wanted to ring to ask if you wanted to come over for dinner." Her mother requested.
"When?" Tana asked a bit surprised.
"Tonight."
"Really. I don't know if I can. I have a lot of studying to do."
"You seem to have time to have dinner with your father."
"That was pre-planned, not a last minute thing, and it was a visit after work, not on a weekend where I tend to put a lot of time into studying."
"Why do you make up excuses. Just admit it. You hate me and don't want to see me."
"Oh my god, why do you have to think like that? I honestly have a lot of to. I don't mind meeting up with people, but I need to plan it ahead."
"So, I am not important enough."
"Can you not understand what I am saying."
"No, because, you go see everyone else but you never come and see me."
"That is because when I do see you, you are either playing a game or watching something and we don't get to really talk because you just go on about yourself and forget about others."
"I always ask you how you are doing so that is bull shit."
"You ask, but you never follow through. You change the subject every time."
"Why do you always claim I am doing the wrong thing."
"Why does it always have to be about you!"
"It is not."
"Then stop thinking it is."
"Honestly, I would love for more time with my mother if she was still here so I don't see why you treat me like this."
"Far out! I have tried so hard with you for so long and I keep getting hurt. Maybe for my sanity, I need to take a time out, keep my distance, so I do not keep getting hurt!"
"And you do not think you are hurting me. I hurt to."
"But at least I tried most of my life."
