Tana was in bed before Claudia came home, so they did not see each other until the next day. At breakfast, they sat together at the kitchen bench, Claudia told Tana about the houses she had viewed the day before. It sounded like Claudia had a good bunch and she had actually put an application in for one of them. She had money in a savings account so she had a decent deposit and now she just needed to wait on some finances for a loan.
It was good news and Tana hoped that a fresh start for her friend would do her well. Tana explained how strange her afternoon had been. About Hugo giving her a lift and going to the shops with him. Claudia teased Tana about it, asking her what she was going to do about all these hot guys in her life now. Tana told her not to be silly, that just because she was making friends did not mean anything else. Of all people Claudia would understand that, simply because she had many friends in the past that were male. Yet, due to Jerry and his assumptions, she had lost a lot of them. In short though, girls could be friends with boys and the other way around, without anything happening.
They had a discussion, about what they were going to be doing for the day and it was more or so just a day to relax. Though Claudia did say she wanted to go to the shops to buy some food. While Tana had grabbed some salad the day before, it would seem Claudia needed some other stuff as well. They figured they could go to lunch and then grab some stuff and so they made a plan to do it at the Mawson Lakes Woolworths as they had a few good café's there.
Heading out, they went to Relish, one of the café's and had lunch, chatting away as they ate their meals and then in good moods, they went to the Woolworths, Claudia getting a basket full of groceries. They helped each other with the bags and started to head out, making their way back to the car.
"Claudia." A voice called.
Both girls stopped walking and looked over to where the voice had come from. Not far from them, looking angry and dangerous was Jerry. He had found her, which Tana had not even known how that was possible, but he was there and now they had to face him.
"What do you think you are doing?" he snapped from where he stood, taking a step closer. "You need to come home now."
"I am not coming home any more. Jerry, I have told you. We are over." Claudia told him.
"That is BULLSHIT." He snapped. "You get your ass into my car now."He took a step forwards, Claudia took a step back. Tana did not like any of this, and she took a quick glance around, wondering if security was near by and if she could flag them down. A few people, those near by had heard the comments and stopped, looking their way, just mumbling. Tana hated people like that, who just stood and watched and did nothing to help.
"I said no!" Claudia hissed back. "I am leaving you Jerry. I told you this. We are over. I am seeing a lawyer for a divorce."
"I will not let you. Don't you dear fuck up our lives like this!" he snapped.
"Jerry!" Tana spoke up. "That is enough. The best thing for you to do is the back away. If you want to talk about this, then in a proper sit-down meeting will be best."
"Shut up bitch. Nobody asked you to get involved." Jerry snapped at her.He went forwards again, grabbing Claudia's arm. She pulled from him and moved away. Tana stepped forwards to, stepping in front of where Claudia was, blocking the path to her. Tana stared at Jerry, a set look on her face. He had no right to be here and demand any of what he was.
"Move out of my way." He snapped at her, his eyes angry.
"No." Tana said shaking her head. "Jerry, leave now."He stepped close, raising a fist. She knew he was going to hit her and with little time to react, she knew it was going to hurt. Tana felt she had bad luck with things like this, but when she expected that fist to catch her face, it did not. Tana was shocked, as right before he struck her, a new hand came into the line of sight, grabbing hold of Jerry's wrist and holding it very firmly. Tana looked to the side, to the owner of the hand that had stopped the punch. She was shocked to say the lease.
