Over the next few weeks, Tana slowly started to ease herself back into things. She kept her promise and attended the check up with Jason for her heart. After a scan, a reading and his taking a listen, he told her that she needed to take it a little easy. Due to the way she had recently been, she had put a bit of strain on her heart, and he was wanting her to be careful. She took his advise and knew that meant she would not go and do anything silly or full on. She had been thinking of going for a run, now her ankle was feeling better, but she would postpone it a little longer.
Back at work, she did what was needed to be done to keep things easier and smooth for the next day. Clark was still being a little strange, being distant, but Tana could not allow that to get to her any more. She needed to take into thought what Thomas had said to her. That maybe she had not done anything wrong, but maybe he was going through something himself and he needed some distance and time.
Speaking of Thomas, on January eighteenth, a Saturday, Tana got the chance to go out with Thomas to an event that she had never believed she would get the chance to do. He had a movie premier for one of the movie projects he had been working on, and as a plus one, he had wonted to take Tana with him. She teased Thomas at first, asking him why he did not have a new girlfriend yet to take, but he said he was not interested in looking around at the moment and just wanted to spoil his best friend with a night out. He knew she needed a night out and so that was his plan.
He had bought her out on Friday night to the city for late night shopping and helped her find an outfit. Tana was self cautious about what she would wear. Jason was right, that she had lost some weight, which she found was evident when she put on a size fourteen dress and it seemed to fit well. Normally, Tana would wear a sixteen top to hide her body and the extra bits she had, but when she was trying on the dresses, she found the sixteen was too loose and the fourteen was a perfect fit. She was happy about that, and it made her feel a little more positive about herself. Even Thomas complimented the dress she chose when she came out of the change room. It was simple, but it was nice as well.
She had found an A-Line Princess Sweetheart Floor-Length dress, made of tulle and chiffon fabric. The colours were a creamy pink underlay and a navy blue over lay of tulle, leaving both colours to blend in with each other to make a blended two colour rainbow look. The dress featured a draped bodice with shimmering shoulder straps and glimmering waistband. It was very flattering and lightweight, making it move elegantly any time Tana moves. The way the bodice was a cross over of material style, it easily hide the parts of herself that Tana was still a little embarrassed about for her size, and so it made her look slim and smooth. She was very happy with it and Thomas really liked it as well.
When Saturday night arrived, he picked her up in a nice fancy sports car and took her to where the premier would be hosted. It was not common for a premier to be happening in their city, however, being that the movie was based in their state, the producers thought it was only fitting. It did mean that other actors and other stars travelled to attend. After all, it was expected to be a good box office hit and while Thomas was not the main actor, he had a decent part to be noticed by others enough once they saw the movie.
They walked down a red carpet, Thomas offering Tana his arm and she linking hers in. Camera's were flashing and a few entertainment reporters stopped Thomas for some questions. They of course asked about Tana, who's cheeks went red with embarrassment, yet Thomas was used to questions, and with a dazzling smile to the reporters and the crowed, he told them that Tana was his best friend and a talented writer who one day people would be wanting photos and autographs of because her work will become famous. Tana was even more red at his comment, but before too many more questions could be asked, Thomas whisked her away and into the main building where there was a large cinema room booked for the nights event.
