It had been a good night, Tana had enjoyed it and when she woke up on Sunday, still at Jason's house, she was a little surprised to find a fully cooked breakfast waiting. Dillan and Jason had apparently planned it last night and when Jason offered her to crash for the night at his house he had mentioned his idea of breakfast to Claudia and she said it was a good idea. She had told them how Tana always hated her actual birthday day, because she did not have a good relationship with some of her family, and they always disappointed her every year. This breakfast they had made for Tana, lifted her spirits. It was worth it and she was glad.
Sitting across from each other at the dining table, Tana could not help but to notice that she and Jason had been glancing at each other every now and then, but neither of them said anything. Tana herself was a little embarrassed now that it was a new day, and her mind was clear. She knew she acted on impulse the night before, and yet, she felt like in a way it was something she had wanted. She could not deny that when she was with Jason she had a feeling about him that was different to most, but was she to allow that to grow, or would be just be a small interest to him and not anything more. All Tana knew was that she was no longer sure on what she wanted to happen from here. She was confused and she had found herself feeling glad when Claudia and she got into the car and headed home. Not because she did not want to see Jason, but because she just not sure how she felt. Was it serious or was it just an on the moment matter.
Tana was silent and Claudia had noticed, she asked her a few times what was going on, but Tana told her she was just tired still. That was partly the truth, but she did not want to hell Claudia about what had happened with Jason. She needed to understand it first. Had he meant it himself, or had he been acting on impulse as well? Tana knew they were going to have to talk sooner or later, but she needed to think on it first. When she got inside, Tana went and had a shower, checking the time and saw that it was already the afternoon. She had a message from her sister, brother and mother, all to say happy birthday. Tana felt sadness sink in, it was all there ever did, they never planned anything special, never offered to come over and visit her. It was clear, she was never important enough for that, not even on her birthday.
Not wanting to let those thoughts get to her, Tana put her hone down and sat on her lounge, laptop in front of her as she wanted to write. However, her mind went back to Jason. She could tell as she was leaving he wanted to say something but after glancing at Dillan and Trudy, he seemed to think against it. Had he wanted to speak of that kiss, the moment they shared? Did he think it was a mistake or did he want to confirm her thoughts on it. Tana had no idea and with these thoughts running through her mind, she found she could not focus at all on her writing.
There was a signal on her phone, to tell her she had a new message come through. Tana picked up her phone, tucking her legs into a curve on the lounge. She unlocked the screen and looked at her messages. The new message was from Jason. Tana felt nervous about opening it, but she knew she could not hide any longer from what had happened.
Last night. I meant it. Every word. Every action.
>I was not expecting it. I guess, I was more surprised then I expected I would be.
You mean a lot to me. I do not want to push or rush you. I will wait.
>You mean a lot to me too. We will catch up again soon. Maybe we can talk more then.
Have a good week Tana.
>You to Jason.
That was the end of their messages. Tana sat silent, reading over them a couple of times, feeling her face get hot at the memory of his warm lips on her own. Tana listed a hand and placed the tips of her fingers on her lips, before pulling them back again. The thought of it made her stomach feel like something was swimming in it. Tana had to admit, that in a way, she was happy. Very happy. She had not given it thought and had not realised it until now, that she did have some feelings for Jason. It was maybe why she noticed the way Trudy was acting with him all the time, and it was maybe the reason why she trusted him so much and always felt so calm and collected around him. There was so much to take in and Tana could feel her head spin.
