By the time the sun was rising and orange lit the murky water of the marsh Louis was still laying down on the grass. His hands rested on his stomach that shook slightly from the pain. His eyes felt dry, probably from being open all night with tears leaving.

It was when he heard movement in the house yards away that forced him to get up. He simply moved from the grass to the hammock and laid down, closing his eyes from the light.

He heard the sound of a door open and close, then footsteps crunch the grass below their feet, and yet Louis didn't move, didn't respond. He kept his eyes closed and acted as if he were asleep. He knew his bruised and bloody knuckles were visible, part of him loathed himself for not thinking of the consequences and questions that would arise while he was hitting the ground. His mind was preoccupied then, it didn't care about what would come, so he just hit, and hit and hit, and now he would soon face the questions.

It wasn't until he felt a shift in the hammock and an arm around his waist that he opened his eyes, playing into the whole 'slept all night' act.

"Morning bébe." JJ whispered quietly, tightening his hold on the boy and providing a kiss to the boys forehead.

JJ has yet to see his knuckles, something that Louis hopes he would be able to hide and create an excuse for what happened.

"Mmm... Bonjour..." Louis mumbles out, turning his body to face the boy, opening his eyes slightly to look at JJ.

Louis could stay like this forever. The demons in his head were quiet, he had the comfort of his new lover by him. Yet, as they say, all good times must come to an end and as any case this good time was fading.

JJ grabbed Louis' hand slightly, his eyes closed in contentment and brought Louis' hand to his lips, kissing the palm. It wasn't until JJ heard a hiss from Louis' lips that he opened his eyes, concern evident, and looked at Louis' hands, seeing the bloodied knuckles.

JJ was quick to let go, and moved from the hammock now standing and staring down at the boy. Louis sighs at this, he could practically see the disappointment and concern radiating off the blonde.

"What the fuck dude!?" JJ yells out, looking a Louis with a look of anger the french boy has never seen before.

"Jay-"

"No. Don't fucking 'Jay' me Louis. You said you would be okay. You said you were coming inside. What the fuck happened?" JJ grits out. It wasn't that JJ was necessarily mad at Louis, more so Louis' actions and the fact he lied straight to his face.

"I can explain-

"YO! JJ, Louis, let's roll!" John B yells out, heading towards the van, Pope and Kie following behind.

Louis groans at this, John B always seemed to interrupt at the worst times. Louis saw JJ look at his bloodied hands again, before meeting his eyes and giving a shake of the head and scoff.
