After leaving Midsummers the pogues were camped out listening to John B and his plan. However his plan to find the gold involved Sarah Cameron, as the Cameron's had a map, which was something Kie was against.
Louis didn't know the reasoning for why Kie and Sarah had such a dislike for each other but Louis trusted Kie, so if she disliked the idea of Sarah joining so would Louis. He was that type of friend. So as JJ sat by the fire in a fresh change of clothes, Louis was in his nicely dressed attire. The boys would steal glances ever now and then, causing Louis to each time look away and smile at the ground.
When it came time for John B's plan to take action, involving him meeting Sarah in a tall tower Louis have never heard of before, Louis wasn't very thrilled. Especially after hearing the very easy lie John B said of him and Sarah not having any chemistry.
Sure Louis was happy for John B finding someonr but Sarah was dating another man, and as much as he disliked Topper, cheating was never okay in his opinion.
So while John B left the van to climb up the tower and meet the kook princess leaving the rest of the pogues inside with a storm not far away, JJ dragged Louis to a isolated area.
When Louis was pushes against a tree he was confused, and slightly terrified because it was lightning and they were by a tree, but swallowed his nerves for the blondes sake.
"I'm sorry about this." JJ says, hand tracing over the cut on Louis' cheek where Rafe inflicted the mark from his ring.
Louis smiles and grabs JJ's hand, bring his palm to his lip and giving it a light kiss. Something causes JJ's heart to flutter at that moment.
"It's okay." Louis whispers before wrapping his arms around JJ and messing with the loop of his shorts.
JJ smiles at that and leans into the shorter boy, kissing his forehead before looking down at the boy who just stares intently at him.
As they stand within the quietness, mumbled thunder is heard in the distance. A peacefulness around them, just JJ and Louis in this moment.
"Hey Louis?"
"Hmm?" Louis hums.
"So... Um...-" JJ stops himself midway. He was about to confess. That was something he hasn't ever done. Not really. Confessing how he felt, especially when it came to affection or love was foreign to him.
Louis could practically see the wheels turning inside JJ's head, which caused Louis to pull JJ even closer and rest a hand in JJ's hair, messing with it, something Louis knew relaxed JJ.
"You can tell me, whatever it is." Louis admits, before ruffling JJ's hair and moving that hand to caress his cheek, while the other still rests on JJ's hip.
JJ nods before kissing Louis cheek and pulling away, now looking at the French boy with a seriousness in his eyes.
"Well... You know how... You know how you.. Well we said to just take things slow. See how it goes... Well I don't... What I'm trying to say is... I don't want to see how it goes. Or wait and figure it out. I have it figured out and I really just want us. You. I really want you and I don't want that to scare you or make you feel pressured but fuck Mikey... You take my breath away, you make me see the world differently. You make me better and... Well I lo- like you a lot... So would, would you have me?" JJ rambles out, cheeks becoming pink from his confession.
Louis stares at him for a moment. Then another.
And another.
Until he nods his head and pulls JJ into a very hungry kiss. A kiss filled with admiration. A kiss that's different and new than the others.
"Who knew I could make the JJ Maybank a stuttering mess?" Louis whispers in between kisses.
JJ chuckles into that kiss and pushed Louis against a tree, using his hands to run down the vest on Louis.
"So does that make you my boyfriend?" JJ asks, causing Louis to shake his head no, and cause a frown to form on JJ.
Before JJ can pull away though, Louis grabs his hands and holds them tightly, and stares intently into his eyes.
"No. No you aren't my boyfriend. You're mon soleil." Louis whispers, causing a blush to spread on his cheeks at the confession.
It was true though. JJ was his sun. The light that warmed him. The brightness that eased the dark. The shine that eased his shadows. JJ was his sun. His boy was the planet that shined on all earth.
("You're my sun.")
"Mon Soleil?" JJ asks, not knowing the French words and feeling somewhat stupid but happy when he sees the way Louis just stares at him.
It made his heart happy. It warmed him. It engulfed him into a hug. The look was everything JJ ever wished for: love.
"My Sun." Louis translates, before kissing JJ once more, the blondes lips being like a drug and Louis an addict.
JJ full on giggles, something he blushes at in embarrassment but Louis finds adorable. Louis found many things to admire but JJ, JJ was the best beauty for him to ever look at as art and he was his. JJ and him were one. JJ and him were an us, a we, a you and I.
"Your sun huh?" JJ teases before kissing him again.
Louis chuckles at that before repeating under his breath after every kiss he lands on JJ, 'mon soleil.'
When the kisses finally stop and Louis haz swollen lips, JJ messed up hair, and hands connected, Louis looked to the stars as JJ watches him.
He swore he saw a light twinkle, he swore that star was the one he and Valentin claimed as theirs. He swore then that he believed Valentin was happy for him, maybe even proud for his strength to move on. So as Louis looked back to JJ and felt the weight of the ring on his finger, he smiled, before bringing JJ into a hug.
"Mon soleil?" JJ asks.
"Oui Jay, Mon Soleil." Louis whispers.
And for that moment, with a confesses off a blondes chest, a twinkling star shining brighter than most nights, and a new relationship beginning, Louis found his place.
Found his home.
Found his heart once again.

JJ FINALLY CONFESSED! THEY ARE FINALLY TOGETHER! AND THE TITLE OF THE BOOK WAS FINALLY REVEALED!
although this chapter is short it's my favorite by far.
I love them. They own my heart. Now before you all get to exited, there will be a conflict that will test Louis and JJ's relationship but that's still chapters away. For now enjoy them being happy!
